https://nypost.com/2022/01/12/woman-places-baby-for-adoption-after-learning-sperm-donor-lied/

A sperm donors betrayal has led to one mothers shame and an orphaned child. A Japanese woman is suing the biological father of her second child for 330 million yen ($2.86 million) after learning that hed lied about his identity. The Tokyo resident, who is in her 30s, thought shed found a successful Japanese man with a Kyoto University education, and had sex with him 10 times in an effort to get pregnant, according to Japanese media. The woman had previously had one child with her current husband, but decided to conceive with a donor when she learned her husband carried a hereditary disorder that could be passed to his offspring. She sought the help of social media to find the perfect candidate. The efforts paid off in July 2019.

But soon after getting pregnant by the donor, the woman, who remains unidentified in local reports, learned that the biological father of her unborn child is, in fact, a married Chinese man who did not attend the prestigious research university. The woman decided to put her baby up for adoption as it was already too late to abort the pregnancy. Shes now suing for fraud, citing emotional distress caused by his lies. Japans sperm donation industry is largely unregulated, according to a Vice News investigation. Commercial artificial insemination is scarce, and its limited only to heterosexual married couples. The situation has led many parents to take their efforts online and into their own hands. Mizuho Sasaki, a child welfare worker in Japan, called the woman shallow, in a statement to Vice, for treat[ing] the child like an object. Sasaki added, But I think its better to leave the kid with someone who can be a good foster parent.

https://nypost.com/2022/01/12/hamas-says-israel-deployed-killer-zionist-dolphins-near-gaza/

Hamas suspects Israeli dolphins are up to something fishy. The militant Islamist group claimed in a video posted by its military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, to have captured a heavily armed Israeli dolphin off the coast of Gaza, according to i24 News. Killer Zionist dolphins exist, according to a Hamas publication, tweeted Joe Truzman, a researcher for Long War Journal and the Foundation for Defense of Democracies think tank. Abu Hamza explains that a member of Hamas Frogman unit who was killed by Israel during the May conflict found the killer dolphin. The device the alleged killer dolphin was wearing is shown in the publication, he added. Naval analyst and author HI Sutton wrote that the video posted to Twitter shows a harness that the militant group alleges was recovered. The harness appears to fit the nose of a dolphin. He said the harness is similar to those used in US Navy and Russian Navy marine mammal programs. The harness appears to have a spear gun-like device attached. Sutton noted that even though the alleged incident could not be confirmed, it is at least plausible that Israel may have a Navy marine mammal program. The Flipper flap is not the first time Israel has been accused by its neighbors of using animals for military purposes, i24 News reported. In 2013, Hezbollahs Al-Manar TV station accused the Jewish state of using a spy bird that was captured in Lebanon, according to the report. Though dolphins have been used by various militaries this report likely falls into what is a surprisingly fertile genre of conspiracy theories: the notion that Israeli intelligence routinely uses all manner of birds and other animals as tools of espionage, Elias Groll wrote in a 2015 Foreign Policy piece.

The Hamas claim made waves in social media, where users poked fun at the notion of killer dolphins, noting that the mammals are known for being docile. In other news, the supposedly much vaunted Hamas heroes are scared by a few cute dolphins! international human rights lawyer Arsen Ostrovsky said in a tweet. Good morning agent, please report for duty! he said in another post, which included a photo of a cute dolphin. Another user, Sia Kordestani, posted an image of an airborne dolphin wearing an Israeli navy cap firing a laser gun at the enemy. WOW. Hamas releases photo of the moment its Izzedine al-Qassam Beach Patrol commander was martyred by a secret Israeli spy dolphin! he quipped.

Team USA hero Suni Lee says her Instagram followers are still banned from commenting on pics of her BF following the hate she's gotten for being in an interracial relationship ... telling TMZ Sports she's going to keep that section disabled. As we previously reported, the gold medalist recently opened up about receiving hurtful messages from members of the Hmong community after going public with her USC football player boyfriend, Jaylin Smith ... saying, "they support me when its beneficial for them never when it comes to my happiness." We spoke with the Hmong-American Olympic hero about the situation at LAX on Monday ... and she says it's time for people to change their views on interracial relationships.

"It should be normalized," Lee tells us while rocking her BF's #19 USC gear ... adding she's very happy in her relationship, no matter how others feel. Suni says she'll continue to prevent the haters from leaving nasty comments on her relationship pics ... but points out there's also been some good to come of it. "I've also gotten a lot of support and I'm really thankful." As for what's next for Suni in gymnastics, she says she's focused on bringing home a national championship for her Auburn Tigers ... and given her history of bringing home the hardware, we're sure that'll be no problem.

https://nypost.com/2022/01/11/jpmorgan-ceo-dimon-threatens-to-fire-unvaccinated-workers/

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said any New York City-based staffer who refuses to get the COVID-19 vaccine is now at risk of getting fired as Wall Street tightens a clampdown in the face of the Omicron variant. Dimon flagged the prospective shift in policy on Monday just days after another investment banking giant, Citigroup, set a Friday deadline for all of its US-based employees to get inoculated. If you arent going to get vaxxed, you wont be able to work in that office. Were not going to pay you not to work in the office, Dimon told Reuters. We want people to get vaccinated. Dimons comments signal a harder line at JPMorgan Chase, the largest asset-holding bank in the country, which last month had told its Manhattan-based staffers that they could work from home if they declined to get vaccinated.

Previously, those who were unvaccinated and chose to work from the office could do so if they submitted to regular testing. Last month, JPMorgan had told unvaccinated employees they could work from home temporarily until alternative solutions are considered, according to Bloomberg. When asked this week whether JPMorgan Chase would adopt a hybrid work policy allowing employees to split their time between home and the office, Dimon said: We dont have to answer this right away. The bank operates nine office locations in Manhattan, including its headquarters at 383 Madison Ave. Those locations relaxed mask guidelines for employees. Dimon told CNBC on Monday that as of this week, 97% of JPMorgan Chase workers at its New York headquarters had been vaccinated. He added that the companys COVID vaccine policies varied depending on the location of its offices. Unlike any other policy weve ever had, were not trying to be consistent, said Dimon. There are different laws and different requirements in cities and states and schools, and so here were adjusting locally As buildings get to 95 percent and 97 percent vaxxed in certain states, that may end up with a different policy than a different state. Last week, Citigroup informed employees they will be fired if they do not comply with a companywide vaccine requirement by Friday.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10378981/Grocery-store-Karen-accuses-Asian-couple-responsible-spread-COVID-19-racist-rant.html

A woman was removed by police from a Montreal grocery store after a racist rant where she blamed an Asian couple for the spread of COVID-19. The unidentified 'grocery store Karen' was filmed by Ken Mak in the checkout aisle at IGA on Nuns Island. 'Are you Chinese?' she asked Mak, who moved to Canada 20 years ago. When he responded in the affirmative, she launched into the racist tirade, all two minutes of which was captured on Mak's cell phone video. 'All of these 21 months of bullshit All of these fucking epidemic that became a pandemic, it's because of you Chinese people!' the woman yelled at the couple while giving the couple the middle finger. A store employee eventually intervened and removed the woman, who mentions her family is 'one of the best lawyers in Montreal,' as she continues her rant towards the store's exit before the video cuts off.

'It's unfortunate that the Asian community has to put up with this,' said Mak, adding that he filmed the incident because he wanted to make his fellow Canadians aware that this kind of racism still exists. Mak, who captioned the video with the hashtag #StopAsianHate, said that the racist incident 'shall not be swept under the rug.' 'This pandemic has caused chaos in all our lives, and it is not acceptable to assault a specific minority for it. We all have been through the lockdowns, the curfews and the hardships in Quebec together just like everyone else,' Mak wrote. 'All crisis ends, but until then we need to support each other, not blaming innocent people.' More than half of Asian-Canadians say they have suffered some form of discrimination over the past year since the onset of the pandemic, according to a July survey from the Angus Reid Institute. The Government of Canada even addressed anti-Asian racism back in October, during Asian Heritage Month. Meanwhile, Canadian politicians and local community leaders have lashed out at the woman's behavior, including the Mayor of Montreal. 'I denounce this lady's racist remarks, which are shocking and unacceptable,' Mayor Valrie Plante tweeted in response to the video. 'Anti-Asian racism has no place in Montreal, and this type of aggression should never be tolerated.'

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/10/take-two-interactive-to-buy-farmville-creator-zynga-for-12point7-billion.html

Take-Two Interactive is buying mobile gaming company Zynga for $12.7 billion with a mix of cash and stock, marking the latest blockbuster acquisition in a string of major deals in the video game industry. The company announced Monday that it would acquire all outstanding shares of Zynga at $9.86 a share, a 64% premium to Zyngas closing price Friday. Shares of Zynga skyrocketed 49% in U.S. pre-market trade. Take-Two said Zynga shareholders will receive $3.50 in cash and $6.36 in Take-Two stock for each share of Zynga outstanding at the closing of the transaction. The deal, which is subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals, is expected to close by June 30, 2022. This strategic combination brings together our best-in-class console and PC franchises, with a market-leading, diversified mobile publishing platform that has a rich history of innovation and creativity, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said in a press release. Best known for its FarmVille series, Zynga initially flourished on Facebook, at one point becoming the most successful app developer on the platform. In the years since, Zynga turned its focus to mobile, hoping to capitalize on explosive growth in the smartphone era. While the company was viewed as a key beneficiary of stay-at-home trends brought about by Covid-19, its share price has fallen nearly 38% in the past year, with some investors questioning whether the pandemic gaming boom has legs in the long term.

Michael Pachter, managing director of equity research at Wedbush Securities, said the acquisition was a solid move. He has a $15 price target on Zynga stock, much higher than the offer from Take-Two. Take-Two should see an acceleration of its mobile business, including taking existing brands and turning them into mobile franchise, Pachter told CNBC by email. While FarmVille is Zyngas most well-known game, it has published several other notable titles including CSR Racing, Empires & Puzzles and Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells, which is based on Warner Bros. Harry Potter franchise. Take Two, which is known for Grand Theft Auto and other blockbuster console and PC franchises, is hoping to tap into the continued growth of mobile gaming, which accounts for more than half of the entire video game industry. Take-Two, which reported $6.1 billion in net bookings in the 12 months ended Sept. 30, 2021, said it expects mobile to comprise over 50% of its net bookings in the next fiscal year, up from 12% in fiscal 2022. Strauss said he expects the deal to create $100 million in annual cost synergies within the first two years after closing and potential net bookings of at least $500 million over time. The deal follows a series of consolidation efforts in the $180 billion video game industry. Microsoft bought Bethesda, the company behind the Fallout and The Elder Scrolls franchises, for $7.5 billion in 2020, while Electronic Arts acquired U.K. racing game developer Codemasters for $1.2 billion later that year.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10384751/Novak-Djokovic-WINS-court-appeal-Free-play-Australian-Open-government-humiliation.html

Novak Djokovic has successfully challenged the Australian Governments decision to cancel his visa and will play in the Australian Open. Federal Court Judge Anthony Kelly ordered the 34-year-old tennis world No.1 to be freed from detention at Melbourne's Park Hotel by no later than 5.46pm on Monday. At the heart of the decision was a procedural error made by the Australian Border Force when officers first stopped Djokovic at the city's airport last Wednesday evening. They did not give the tennis star an acceptable amount of time to consult with his legal team after notifying him of their intent to cancel his visa. The decision is a huge blow to the Department of Home Affairs which had claimed Djokovic had relied on out-of-date ATAGI advice to enter the country. While Djokovic and his team are undoubtedly celebrating the monumental win, the court heard the Minister for Immigration, Alex Hawke, has powers to personally cancel the visa. Judge Kelly noted if Djokovic were to be deported in that manner, he'd be forbidden from returning to Australia for three years. He told the court in no uncertain terms, that if the government does consider this motion he must be given ample notice to prepare for future proceedings. Djokovic supporters had high hopes for the case after Judge Kelly said he was 'agitated' learning all the steps the world No.1 took to assure he'd be welcome in Australia and free to play his favourite Grand Slam. 'A professor and qualified physician provided the applicant a medical exemption, the basis of which was given by an independent expert panel established by the state government... that document was in the hands of the delegate,' Judge Kelly said.

'The point I'm somewhat agitated about is, what more could this man have done?' While Djokovic is now free to begin training again and remain in Australia, the debacle has prompted fierce backlash online, with many saying the incompetence of the Australian government has been thrust into the spotlight. Ironically, Djokovic was granted a 403 visa which provides 'a temporary visa to work in specific circumstances that improve Australias international relations'. The monumental bungle and subsequent handling of his individual case has done the very opposite. Fellow tennis star Andy Murray says the uncertainty over Djokovic's situation is 'really bad' for tennis and claims the scenario has 'shocked' the athletes. Speaking ahead of the Australian Open, Murray told reporters in Melbourne: 'I think everyone is shocked by it to be honest. I'm going to say two things on it just now. 'The first thing is that I hope that Novak is OK. I know him well, and I've always had a good relationship with him and I hope that he's OK. 'It's really not good for tennis at all, and I don't think it's good for anyone involved.'

https://nypost.com/2022/01/08/pit-bulls-responsible-for-most-nyc-chomp-victims/

Pit bulls chomp on more New Yorkers than any other breed of pooch in the Big Apple, troubling city data show. American Pit Bull Terriers and mixes accounted for 2,610 bites between 2015 and 2017 30 percent of all dog-bite victims, according to the most recent city Department of Health stats. The disturbing tally is more than seven times any other breed despite pit bulls being just the sixth most common breed of licensed dogs in New York City. (Yorkshire Terriers are first.) Shih Tzus were the second worst NYC biters with 364 attacks, followed by Chihuahuas, with 344. Pit bulls are known for their square heads, large shoulders and muscular bodies. Theyre a descendant breed of the English bull and terrier, which was bred for bull-baiting and other animal blood sport. Most pits exhibit some level of dog aggression, according to the United Kennel Clubs profile. Earlier this month a Wisconsin mother had her arms ripped off while defending her 4-year-old from a raging pit bull. The New York City Housing Authority has banned residents from keeping pit bulls since 2010. Bites by the breed were most common in the Bronx, Far Rockaway and East Harlem, according to the data. all areas with a higher-than-average concentration of public housing. The NYPD still breaks up dog-fighting rings across the city, often involving pit bulls.

Mia Johnson, a co-founding member of National Pit Bull Victim Awareness, said the figures were not surprising. She recalled taking her two little dogs out for a walk, when out of nowhere a pit bull approached and ripped apart and killed one. The teeth are large. They have a way of gripping and trying to tear when they bite, she said. New York City had a short-lived ban on the breed, under a 1989 measure signed by Mayor Ed Koch after a string of brutal attacks by pit bulls. The ban was repealed in 1991. The pit bull fancier may have won the day, but the children and adults of New York will suffer the consequences, the late mayor said then. Michelle Serocki, executive director of Pit Bull Advocates of America, has lived with pit bulls for over 20 years and rehabilitated dogs bred to fight. She said bite statistics can be misleading, because dogs that decades ago would have been labeled mutts now get reflexively recorded as misunderstood pit bulls when a DNA test might show something else entirely. Dogs are dogs are dogs are dogs. Theyre all individuals. You can have a litter of six puppies, no matter what they are, theyre going to grow up with different personalities, she said.

https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/31-people-seriously-injured-in-bronx-apartment-building-fire-fdny/3486866/

At least 19 people have died, including nine children, at a high-rise Bronx apartment building fire that city officials are calling one of the worst in over 30 years. "This is going to be one of the worst fires we have witnessed here in modern times in the City of New York," Mayor Eric Adams said at a press conference several hours after the blaze tore through the building. The commissioner of the New York City Fire Department identified at least 63 initial victims who were being treated for varying injuries due to the smoke and fire. At least 32 of those 63 injured were initially taken to at least five different hospitals in the borough with life-threatening injuries; another nine were serious. The names and ages of the victims have not been disclosed, but FDNY officials confirmed to News 4 New York at least 19 people died from injuries sustained in the blaze. The overwhelming majority of the fire's victims were suffering from severe smoke inhalation, FDNY Commissioner Dan Nigro said.

Firefighters rushing into the building discovered victims on all nearly every floor of the building -- many found experiencing cardiac and respiratory arrest. "There were certainly people trapped in their apartments all through this building," Nigro said, calling the smoke conditions "unprecedented." Fire investigators have pinpointed the origin of the blaze to a duplex apartment on the second and third floors of the building. The door to the apartment was left open, allowing the fire to spread and smoke to billow up throughout the building, the commissioner added. Nigro said it was "unusual" that the smoke extended the entire length of the building. Video circulating social media show thick smoke billowing out from the lower levels of the building where firefighters appeared to focus their attention. Asked about social media rumors of a resident jumping from the building to reach safety, the commissioner said someone may have slipped when attempting to get onto a fire ladder, but he had not received any reports of a jumper.

A 61-year-old Asian man who was brutally attacked last year has died of his injuries eight months after another man was caught on video kicking the victims head repeatedly, New York City police said on Saturday. The attack that initially left the Chinese immigrant critically injured occurred on April 23 when Yao Pan Ma was in East Harlem collecting cans to pay rent. At around 8:30 p.m., a man struck him from behind, causing him to fall to the ground," according to police. Surveillance footage released by the New York Police Departments Hate Crimes Task Force, which has also been investigating the incident, shows the man head stomping Ma while he is on the ground.

Ma was in a coma following the assault and spent months fighting for his life. But he succumbed to his injuries on Dec. 31. The attack has now been deemed a homicide and authorities are still investigating the incident, New York City police said on Saturday. Jarrod Powell, 50, was arrested on April 27 in connection to the attack. He is facing multiple felony charges for attempted murder and hate crime. Powell pleaded not guilty to these charges during his arraignment hearing on June 22. It's possible that Powell's charges will be upgraded following the homicide ruling.

https://sports.yahoo.com/lets-break-down-the-lawsuit-filed-against-the-giants-and-jets-over-the-usage-of-new-york-215101795.html

Representing an as-yet-unidentified class of New York-based Jets and Giants fans, Abdiell Suero of New York City has filed a class-action lawsuit in U.S. District Court against the NFL, Giants, Jets and MetLife Stadium. His contention: the Giants and Jets, playing in New Jersey, are improperly and illegally benefitting from the use of New York in their team names. (Yahoo Sports has reached out to the attorney for Suero.) Suero vs. NFL et. al. is a lawsuit with some interesting contentions about the connection between an NFL teams precise geographic location and its inherent value, and some dubious claims about the responsibility of teams to look out for their fans convenience. The suit asks for $6 billion yes, with a b in damages, which means its got about as much chance of success as the Jets do of getting to double-digit wins.

Still, buried deep in the lawsuit, theres a kernel of truth, and an opportunity for teams to better understand the needs of their most loyal if not necessarily most profitable fans. Lets break down some of the key paragraphs within: 23. Many NFL fans who attend Giants or Jets games for the first time are unaware that these teams play out-of-state. Respectfully, the WELCOME TO NEW JERSEY roadside signs should have tipped them off. 24. Many NFL fans would not attend live games of the Giants or Jets if they were warned in advance that they play in the State of New Jersey. 26. The NFL engages in this practice with other popular franchises, including the Dallas Cowboys (who play in Arlington, TX), the Washington Football Team (who play in Landover, MD), and the San Francisco 49ers (who play in Santa Clara, CA). This is a fair point, though its not really the NFL engaging in the practice, its the teams themselves all of which, it should be noted, are farther away from their geographic namesake than MetLife Stadium is from New York. 39. Plaintiff and the class of Giants and Jets fans must travel out of state to watch live Giants and Jets games, with roundtrip times taking an average of four hours or more on game day at a very high cost either by way of public transportation or motor vehicle. Were not going to compare fandoms here, but Steelers fans have determined that its literally cheaper to buy plane tickets and hotel rooms for away games than tickets to Heinz Field. Its all in how badly you want it.

Earlier today, OF model Ava Louise exposed former NFL star and Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown for sneaking into his hotel room the night before his dramatic meltdown and exit from the Bucs-Jets football game. The young lady, who went viral in 2020 for licking the lid of a toilet seat, provided screenshots of messages that proved she was not lying. Ava then called into WFAN radio show to tell more about her story in real time. She stated that Brown first reached out to her in 2018, but hadnt physically saw each other until this past Saturday. I see a bunch of people going in the elevator and I just hop in, Louise said. Theres a big sign that its the Bucs floorsaying Tom Brady is on the second floor and where they go for training and stuff like thatso I look and theres a security guard sitting there at a deskIm on the phone with him like be right there, just walk past the security guard. The security guard just looks up at me and sees me go into the room, and that was that. She then added that she walked easily past security to get inside his room.

Once in there, she gave him oral, which only lasted about 30 seconds and he wanted to go to sleep after he finished it and recorded it. Before going to sleep, however, Ava stated he wanted to watch the video he just recorded and it turned him on again, so he wanted a round 2. She claims he lasted only 30 seconds again. She also revealed she has COVID which can become an even bigger story since he was around the team the following day for hours. One of the biggest things she said is about her eventually exposing the video, and then she was given the idea to drop it on the same day as the Super Bowl, and she loved that idea.

https://www.vice.com/en/article/5dgdwz/black-hair-in-video-games

When Black gamers booted up the shooter-RPG hybrid Outriders last April, only four of the 24 hairstyle options for characters could conceivably be considered a Black hairstyle. Even worse, all of them fell under the tired tropes of minifros and dreads. And even those were pretty atrocious: Textures were wrong, and patterns looked scraggily and unkempt. Then again, just a handful of years ago, programmers modeled afros on cauliflowers. Black hair has been bad forever in gamesfrom the worst box braids to the raggediest of dreads to even messing up naturals at this point, said Kahlief Adams, host of the Spawn on Me podcast, which highlights people of color in the gaming industry. Like, youll see a character and think, Sure, you got a close fade, but I dont know where your hairline is fam. Last year, Oakland-based artist and UC Santa Cruz assistant professor A.M. Darke had had enough. She started recruiting Black artists for the Open Source Afro Hair Library, the industrys first free database of 3D-modeled Black hairstyles. The library, slated to launch on Juneteenth 2023, will function as a source for usable 3D assets for gaming, animation, and other ventures as well as an online gallery to inspire and normalize Black inclusion.
By recruiting all Black artists and making the database free, Darke plans to create an anti-racist, anti-capitalist, and feminist approach to the portrayal of Black hair as well as a sense of unified ownership and investment in how the hairstyles are used. All of us can be caretakers, all of us can be stewards, all of us can look at the work and think about how to use it ethically and point out unethical practices, said Darke, 36, who teaches Digital Arts, New Media, and Performance Play and Design. I want to create a space that's open for all Black folks to have this conversation about what we want this to be.

In games like the Elder Scrolls series, Destiny, and other non-NBA sports video games like the WWE 2K series, Black hairstyles feel like an afterthought thanks to absurdly limited options, if any exist at all. Black players looking for anything thats not cornrows, dreads, or an afro are typically out of luck unless they want go with a racially ambiguous buzz cut or a bald head. Its either very high, puffy, and tight, or its weird succubus dreads, Adams said. There is no real in-between where you showcase that stuff working really well, where you do that zoom in and you get the textures and things that youd want to see on these characters. Japanese developed games released in the U.S., like Capcoms Monster Hunter World, have fared much worse, with some titles ignoring the existence of textured hair altogether. Monster Hunter World players didnt see any Black hairstyles added to the game until the release of a paid expansion nearly two years after its initial release.

https://nypost.com/2022/01/07/sports-illustrated-model-is-latest-victim-of-airtag-stalker/

A swimsuit model says she was stalked by a stranger who slipped an Apple AirTag tracker into her coat pocket before following her for five hours. Brooks Nader, 26, claims the disturbing incident occurred Wednesday night while she was out in New York City, and she only realized it when her iPhone alerted her to the fact that an unknown accessory was moving with her. An AirTag first released last April is a nickel-size tracking device that acts as a key finder, with Apple users able to attach it to their personal items to make sure they never get lost. However, there have been multiple reports that the gadgets, which retail from $29.99, have been placed by stalkers and thieves inside other peoples handbags, cars and pockets to track their whereabouts. Nader appears to be the latest victim, with the model relaying her experience to her 827,000 followers on Instagram. This device followed me for the last five hours to every location and [it belonged to] no one in my network. It also wasnt a phone or tablet, it was an item,' she explained. The Sports Illustrated stunner subsequently shared a screenshot of an AirTag via Instagram Stories: @Apple, did you take into consideration the danger and potentially fatal consequences this device has? She added: For those asking, its not my AirTag, its someone randoms, who must have slipped it into my belongings while out. Thank you all for checking in and sending helpful articles. I want this to be a PSA to all my ladies to please please check your belongings. According to Apple, it could alternatively help prevent stalking by notifying people if they have an AirTag device on their person that isnt registered to them. AirTag is designed to discourage unwanted tracking, the tech company states on its website. If someone elses AirTag finds its way into your stuff, your iPhone will notice its traveling with you and send you an alert. The alert is what tipped Nader off to the fact an AirTag was in her coat pocket.

Nader is hardly the first woman to be stalked with the aid of Apple tech. In Mississippi, a 27-year-old woman called police on Dec. 27 after receiving a notification on her iPhone that she had an unregistered AirTag on her person. Also last month, a Maryland woman took to Twitter to share her disturbing tale of a stalker attaching an AirTag to her car before she left a bar in the early hours of the morning. And, back in July, a Texas woman went viral on TikTok after revealing an AirTag had been placed in her purse and used by an unknown person to gauge her whereabouts.

https://www.dailydot.com/irl/woman-throws-food-at-panda-express-worker-tiktok/

In a viral TikTok video, a woman yelled at a Panda Express worker and reached around the counter to throw food when she was allegedly told she couldnt be served without a mask. In the video, the woman stands on the counter to reach around the glass and throw food at the workers before walking away and shouting at them. Racist bitches, the woman appears to say. This is a free country for everybody, bitch. Put your mask on, the user behind the camera says. The user offered more details in the comments. He said he tried to order before the woman came in but was told he couldnt be served because he wasnt wearing a mask. He had his girlfriend, who was wearing a mask, order instead, and he sat down at a table. The user said that when the woman came in unmasked and was told she couldnt be served, she pointed to all the unmasked customers eating at tables. She put her shirt over her face and tried to order. The manager said no and for her to leave. She went wild, the TikTok creator said in the comments. The video received over 2.7 million views, and many users showed their frustration at the womans actions in the comments.

These fast food employees dont get payed enough for this if you have a problem leave the store, one user said. The fact that shes in a onesie is perfect since shes acting like a baby, another said. However, some TikTok users responded with racist connotations toward the womans behavior, which caused several viewers to shut them down. Anyone start seeing a pattern ?? one user said, to which another responded: Bruhh the pattern is that outbursts happen at public food venues.. youre the true racist ass for even thinking like that frfr. However, one user questioned the story, curious to hear the womans point-of-view. She said they were being racist [though] we dont know the whole story, they said.

In a clip from the episode first shared by PopSugar, Osaka agrees to teach Elmo and his friends Charlie and Segi how to play tennis. But first, the Japanese tennis player insists that they all need to put on sunscreen. Segi, a Black muppet, isn't sure whether she also needs to wear sunscreen since her "skin is a different color than Charlie's skin." So with a little help from an anthropomorphic sunscreen bottle called "Super Sunscreen," Osaka explains how sunscreen benefits people and muppets of all complexions.

"See, everybody's skin has something called melanin in it," Osaka begins. "People with dark skin, like [Segi] and me, have lots of it." "We all have different amounts of melanin in our skin," she continues. "That's why our skin comes with so many different colors." While melanin helps protect skin from sun damage, sunscreen can act as "a melanin helper" to add even more protection.Visors, which Osaka says she likes to wear on the tennis court, are "good melanin helpers, too." Then she doles out visors for everyone. Finally, with sunscreen rubbed in and visors atop heads, the group is ready to play. Super Sunscreen even asks to join the action to get "some tips on my forehand."

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2022/jan/06/serbian-president-decries-djokovic-harassment-amid-reaction-to-visa-cancellation

The Serbian president has accused Australia of maltreatment of tennis star Novak Djokovic, who was denied entry to the country after he flew into Melbourne with a medical exemption from coronavirus vaccination rules. Djokovic was granted a controversial exemption to enter Australia and compete in the Australian Open, but was held up at Melbourne airport by authorities for several hours before his visa was cancelled. The Australian Border Force said he had failed to provide adequate evidence to support his exemption. Serbian president Aleksandar Vui said the country had offered support to the world No 1. I told our Novak that the whole of Serbia is with him and that our bodies are doing everything to see that the harassment of the worlds best tennis player is brought to an end immediately, he said in a statement. Australian prime minister Scott Morrison rejected the harassment suggestion on Thursday, saying: Australia has sovereign borders and clear rules that are non-discriminatory as so many countries do it has to do with the fair and reasonable application of Australias border protection laws all I can say is that the evidence medical exemption that was provided was found to be insufficient.

In December Tennis Australia released its Covid vaccination policy for Melbournes grand slam which included a process for players seeking medical exemptions to enter Victoria without having to undergo a 14-day quarantine. Djokovic, who is opposed to vaccination, said he had been granted an exemption to compete in the competition although the exact nature of it is unclear. The head of Tennis Australia, Craig Tiley, said exemption applications were de-identified and rigorously assessed, and that only a handful of other players and officials had been granted exemptions out of 26 applications. The initial approval sparked public outrage before the tennis star had landed, and the cancellation of his visa only added to the furore. Djokovics father, Srdjan, told Russian media he was outraged by the treatment of his son. Tonight they can throw him in a dungeon, tomorrow they can put him in chains. The truth is he is like water and water paves its own path. Novak is the Spartacus of the new world which wont tolerate injustice, colonialism and hypocrisy. US player Tennys Sandgren, an Australian Open quarter-finalist in 2018 and 2020, said Australia didnt deserve to host a grand slam. Just to be crystal clear here, two separate medical boards approved his exemption. And politicians are stopping it, said Sandgren, who has also opted not to get vaccinated or play in the tournament. Renae Stubbs, a former Doubles world No 1 and ESPN host, described the situation as officially a massive shitshow. I think ScoMo [Australian prime minister Scott Morrison] made this a moment because the Australian public is so annoyed by Djoker, she said on Instagram. I would be ropeable if I was [Djokovic]. Also the other lesson is, get vaccinated.

Gal Gadot has admitted her celeb-filled viral Imagine video in response to the COVID-19 pandemic was a mistake. Nearly two years after posting the video which showed celebrities singing along to the John Lennon song the Wonder Woman actress said it wasnt the right thing. I was calling Kristen [Wiig] and I was like, Listen, I want to do this thing,' Gadot told InStyle in the magazines February 2022 issue. The pandemic was in Europe and Israel before it came here [to the US] in the same way. I was seeing where everything was headed. But [the video] was premature. The Fast & Furious star, 36, added, It wasnt the right timing, and it wasnt the right thing. It was in poor taste. All pure intentions, but sometimes you dont hit the bulls-eye, right?

A-listers including Natalie Portman, Jimmy Fallon, Zo Kravitz, Will Ferrell, Mark Ruffalo, Sia and Maya Rudolph all appeared in the three-minute clip, taking turns singing lines of the 70s song. When she posted the video on March 18, 2020, Gadot told her followers she had been feeling a bit philosophical while in self-quarantine amid the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. You know, this virus has affected the entire world everyone it doesnt matter who you are, where youre from, were all in this together, she wrote at the time. I ran into this video of this Italian guy playing the trumpet on his balcony to all the other people who were locked in their homes. And he was playing Imagine and there was something so powerful and pure about this video, she said before singing the tune herself.
