There were posts before and after mine quoting the same post. And, again, the discussion I had in my last moderation was civil. I didn't phrase things in an antagonistic way and there were no trolling or heated responses. I've blocked who I consider to be the three most likely suspects. If the culprit wants to switch to an alt account to stalk-mod me, I can't help that. But for now, I have reason to block their mains. |

It just irks me that we had a genuinely civil discussion on race and gender in the media and someone said, "Hey, mods. He's totally trying to race-bait here. I'm offended. Like, seriously. Totally on the level. I'm not just marking this guy because I dislike him." |

| FortuneCookie 12/09/21 10:42:13 AM #1 | I haven't been modded more than a few times since creating this account. Suddenly, I have four moderations in a span of about two weeks. The first was legit. No need to argue. The second one was a post made in good faith. I was modded, then it was overturned. The third one was technically fair. I quoted someone posting an offensive statement to disagree with them. (Quoting offensive content is not allowed.) The fourth one was another post made in good faith and a topic which had a civil discussion. I disputed it and mods rejected my dispute despite there being nothing antagonistic about the post. What's really telling is that several people quoted the offensive post in question and I was the only one whose post was deleted. I have a couple of suspects. I don't want to be petty and put people on the ignore user list. But for the sake of keeping my account, it might just be for the best if I do. If I have someone following at my heels pretending to be offended when there's nothing inflammatory or provocative about my posts, it's just a matter of time before I get banned. |

If you were to give a proper name to a mass extinction event of the Blip's magnitude, it would probably draw allusion to real-world tragedies. And that's just not appropriate for a story about an evil purple man from space who snaps people out of existence. I hate to say it, but I agree with the decision to give it a minimizing name. |

If the Republican party split into a fiscally conservative party and a white nationalist party, conservatives would have no chance of winning. That is unless the left split into a socialist party and a "we totally swear we're not capitalists, guys" party. In which case, the right would be all but guaranteed to win. It's a real shame. Bigotry and fascism should not be on the ballot. It should not be bedfellows with any party in the world today. But here we are in a world where it represents an immediate problem. |

Racism exists essentially as a capitalist ploy to keep the poor and working class fighting each other. In painting the people who support Black rights as racists, you provoke mildly racist White people into greater levels of racism by tricking them into thinking they're on the defensive. This is where you get a lot of "I wasn't taught to be racist!" rhetoric from White bigots who think they're fighting back. This breeds conflict, not understanding or sympathy. I'm sure there are plenty who encourage this thinking it's the right thing to do. Let's support our community and give to those who need it most. All the majority of White America is going to hear is, "Screw White people." And that's exactly what the corporate suits want them to hear. |

If they made a Lord of the Rings style Legend of Zelda movie, Nintendo would double down on making every LoZ game the adventures of a smiling elf-eared 12-year-old in a bright and shiny world. I'd rather get an Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, or Twilight Princess once in a while than to have Link be smiling kid Link from now until Miyamoto passes. |
