This part, which really doesn't have much to do with the article, really stuck out to me, because it's insanely true and sad.

Theres a bunch of other stuff we order via Subscribe & Save, so I guess we can do standard shipping on all of it.

But we also actually use the prime video/music stuff, so we feel the money for Prime is worth it.

Meh. If I was in the lower 48 I'd probably have dropped it by now, but living in Alaska it's still going to be worth it. We don't get many good free/cheap shipping options and plenty of things are a lot cheaper than buying in-store.

Thats the other thing.

I can get a case of Monster energy drinks for $32.

Cheapest I can find by me is $40.

So $8 savings every 3 weeks is $139.66

So I break even just on that alone.

Still worth it, because I'm not paying shipping charges every 3 weeks for all the paper goods I have delivered to my house.

Plus I'll need it in 2 years when Thursday Night Football is Prime exclusive.

People need to take the guesswork out of sex, and just flat out tell their partner what works for them.

Take away the taboo that you can't tell your partner "I like it when _____". Especially if it's something you've never done yet as a couple, as it then elicits the response of "If she likes that, and we never did it, that means she did it with someone else"

Take the idea of it actually being Trump out of the equation, and just call him "Candidate A".

Candidate A had the job for 4 years, and in my opinion, did not do a good job on many fronts. From Covid response to International integrity to the way he carried himself and interacted with his constituents, I do not think he did a good job.

So I voted for Candidate B, because I did not want Candidate A to continue to have a job that I felt he performed poorly in.

So the fact that "Candidate B" was not "Candidate A" was enough for me to vote for Candidate B.

I really hate the term "fear for your life", because that can mean anything.

And if you're that easy to scare, you should probably not be in Law Enforcement.

If a domestic call ends with unarmed people getting shot because an armed officer in a flak jacket "feared for their life", there was a terrible lapse in their training.

My assumption always was that Riddler has some sort of surveillance on all of them, so he know who took them.

Because 90% of the people that say "we need to take the guns off the streets" are usually Democrats that want the inner cities they live in to be safer, and Conservatives see that an hear "They're coming for ma guns!"

Where most people, Conservatives as well as Liberals, just want some sensible gun ownership laws to be put on the books. It'll tighten the reigns on illegal gun ownership, and it'll also protect gun owners that own, store, and protect their firearms the proper way.

You could also retire with $150/day unless $4500/month isn't enough passive income for you.

Everyone's starting situation is different, but I'm assuming most of you are 30 or younger, and either do not own a home, or are in the first decade of your mortgage.

$150 a day is a little less than $55k a year.

If you have a family and a mortgage, there's zero chance you can retire on that without living "paycheck to paycheck".

Let's say your mortgage is $1500 a month. Add in the amenities involved in owning home (TV/Streaming, Internet Utilities, Groceries, general maintenance), that's AT LEAST another $700 a month. Add in homeowners insurance, property taxes, etc.

We're talking at least $2500 of your monthly $4500ish already spent before you buy a single "non-essential" item.

Also keep in mind if you're "retired" but not old enough to receive Medicare/Medicaid, you'll have you buy health insurance. There's another few hundred a month.

Now, someone like myself, who's almost 44 and has less than a decade left on their mortgage, I could probably stop working at my current job, get something part time, and live off of $150 a day, combined with my wife's salary.

I go every 6 months.

My next appointment is the end of April, so I guess the last time I was there was mid-October.
