Played Kena up until the end of the first major boss. It's incredibly fine. Like a solid 7.5-8/10 so far. Zero innovation in both the gameplay and plot and artistically feels just like a pleasant mish-mash of Pixar and Ghibli without anything actually original.

Plays fine though. Few complaints about some of hitboxes, but otherwise solid.

Just finished chapter one. Plot so far is... interesting, if a bit morally ambiguous. Well, more so than normal. Like, so far I've beaten up several seventeen year olds and put a spy camera in a school bathroom. Hard to feel like a good guy.

They've improved the tailing missions to actually be somewhat challenging now and I think they've been playing a lot of Hitman, as there are now proper stealth sections where you can use coins to distract people and choke people out. Skateboarding's whatever, it'd be better if you weren't limited to roads. Combat's about the same, although it's weird coming off of the end of Judgment and into this and trying to do stuff and finding that ability locked again. The new stance is cool though, very wiggly and has some fun EX takedowns.

Oh and the lip sync for the English dub isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It's mostly fine or fits quite welll, just a few instances that have stood out.

Finished it earlier today. Final playtime about 13 hours.

Spoiler-free synopsis: Enjoyed it a lot! I haven't played any other LiS games to compare, but I felt like all of the characters, even the ones you were supposed to dislike, felt very 'real' with believable flaws and depth. Not a single character from the main cast felt like a caricature. I called one part of the ending very early on, but another part was still a pleasant surprise.

My only real complaint is, after finishing the game, looking up what I could have done differently and, well, I don't have any desire to replay it anytime soon, let's put it that way.

Oh and Alex's internal monologue at times was annoying, but she was otherwise an interesting character to play as.

Can confirm, SkateBIRD is not very good. Put about two hours in and got to the second level and just realised I wasn't having any fun and stopped playing. It's not bad, really, it's just the gameplay is too janky and the rest of the game isn't good enough to compensate.

Yeah, multiplayer kinda works like Dark Souls invasions. They don't kick in until you get a few hours into the story, but once they do, they happen periodically if you're in an area that meets the right conditions and there's a notication once you do. You can go offline, but the CPU will still invade you. There's only so many times you can get invaded per loop though and there's win conditions that don't involve killing Julianna too, so you have options. Plus each map is pretty big with lots of shortcuts and paths, especially if you invade someone far into the game, so actually finding the player can take a while.

Played about three and a half hours of single player and an hour of multiplayer.

Singleplayer is WAY slower than the trailers made it look. I was expecting it to get pretty frantic and, whilst it can do if you fudge stealth, it's much more like Dishonored than anything else. I could see it getting more and more run-n-gun as you get more used to the maps/routes/etc. and get more permanent weapons. Oh, and Colt is great. Julianna too. Both extremely likeable characters from the get-go.

The PVP is decent fun too. I can see the potential for a lot of shenanigans as people get more and more used to how people play. Though, I do feel super overpowered, especially killing early game Colts. The starting abilities of invisibility and masquerade are a potent combination, especially since you can kill Colt in one hit from behind with the machete. Though, you gotta kill Colt three times (potentially) and he only has to kill you once, so it balances out.

Played up until the end of the main event in Chapter 3. Enjoying it so far! I'm streaming it, which means I gotta wait until next Saturday to finish it, which is a bummer as I really wanna find out how it ends. Chapter 3 especially so far has been a lot of fun. I've also been going super slow, each chapter has taken me three hours so far. I've been checking everything, talking to everyone, etc.

I'll be interested to see exactly how much variation there is when I'm done though, as it doesn't feel like the choices I've made so far would have affected the flow of events too hugely.

The DLC costumes were a bit of a let-down too. I was expecting completely new sets of clothes, but they're just different skins for each chapter. Using them since I got them, but I wouldn't feel too bad if I didn't have them either.

Also I'm weirdly terrible at finding memories. Like, I just keep missing them. I've only found three so far, I think.

Reviews have it at about 10-15 hours to beat, so about the same in that regard. Guess its just a higher production value? Or maybe theres lots of branching stuff you cant see in a single playthrough?

Enjoying this game less and less the more I play. Got one achievement left: to complete the Egg Shuttle. About an hour into it and I run into a bug which breaks 2D sections and makes them unplayable and you can't restart in Egg Shuttle so I'll have to start over again later.

Not my only complaint mind:

• Game's too easy, only time I ever ran into a challenge was when the controls either aren't responsive enough or the button mapping is counter-intuitive (why is double jump and lock-on attack the same button?)
• I don't understand the point of the Game Land levels. They're not fun, interesting or difficult, just boring and numerous.
• Unlocked Super Sonic, but by the time I got him unlocked, I had about one level where the game would actually let me use him left to S Rank.
• No lives is good, but you should either be able to turn off the Tails assists or they should count against you. Being able to still get S Ranks after falling off the edge a few times just makes an easier game even easier.
• I hate that Sonic just can't use his normal abilities because they're tied to Wisps now. He can't even spin-attack, because it's tied to the pink Wisp (which, as an aside, never goes in the right goddamn direction).

It's only saving grace is that it's short, really.

Logic's sounds, but you've got the dogs mixed up, Zacian is the sword, Zam is the sheild. I guess you could argue that Zam is steel because the shield part of it is part of its body, whereas Zacian just holds the sword in its mouth.

Yeah, that one guy got caught and now people are using it to write off the other people with similar glitches. Sonic Twitter is a hoot right now, thinking everything is some conspiracy by people who don't like Sonic. They even got Arin Hanson from Game Grumps trending, because he made a joke about finally playing it now he'd heard it was broken.

I guess we'll know on Tuesday when the game fully launches and more people get it in their hands. Again, for what it's worth, I've been playing more, tidying up S Ranks and red coins etc. and the only glitch I've encountered was clipping through the wall after using a laser and getting stuck.

I will say though, I thought the game was really fun otherwise, if a bit easy. Only complaint is that when you die, if it restarts you at the start of the level, it doesn't restart the clock, so you have to manually restart after reloading to start fresh again.

God, I remember Sprung and I think I even played it, but I also can't remember anything about it. Apparently it spawned two spin-off games too.

Another Code: Two Memories/Trace Memory is pretty good (same game, different name in different regions) although it's probably more point and click than straight VN.

Great experience, terrible game. Characters, writing, story are all top notch. Graphics, gameplay and performance are all awful.

The Switch version is fine. It was rough at launch, but had a few patches to iron it out, although there's still a few oddities, like the driving is weirdly over-sensitive. But it's got the gameplay tweaks the director's cut version had, but is missing the extra cutscenes, which aren't canon anymore due to the sequel (which you should ignore, because it's an awful, unfinished mess) and there was some DLC for the director's cut (you can buy a house!), which is mostly pointless, so you're not missing much.

Theyve only given names to three characters, so I think its safe to assume there will still be a customisable boss.

Oh yeah, I'm not denying there is unique dialogue for doing stuff, but I feel given how limited the amount of actual things there are that you can do, the fact that there isn't unique dialogue for all combinations is disappointing.

I did appreciate that the Wife passes out in multiple ways on the bed though.

I think this is it. The Father and Cop are the same person, both doing what they're doing to protect their daughter. I did wonder if there was some dialogue that would allude to her being nicknamed Bumblebee, but I couldn't be bothered to find it if there was.

Overall, I thought it was okay. I enjoyed it well enough at the time, although later loops became tedious to trial and error, but knowing the whole plot and looking at the whole package, it was just a bit meh. Even knowing the twist, the fact that the protagonist just conveniently forgets things (which didn't happen?) didn't feel as clever as I'm sure they wanted it to be. Would have been way more interesting if the Husband knew everything from the start but was trying to hide it.

I also wish the game had more fun with itself. I too tried to do silly things like stab the Wife then sit and eat my pudding until the Cop showed up, but it very rarely led to anything unique. It's a shame, because the game does have some cool details, like if you try and stab the Cop multiple times, the Husband does get better at it and will eventually stab him, but still gets knocked out. Similarly, the first time you stab the Wife, you do it once and she bleeds out slowly, so the next time he stabs her a few times.

3 is the only one I never finished as It just didnt gel with me. And I enjoyed 4, but as its own thing and not as a Saints game.

Id totally be down for a semi-remake of the first two games, but with time travel shenanigans thrown in. We can save Lin after all these years!

That was my feeling of it too. I enjoyed my time playing it, but after ten hours I just dropped it. Easily a game you could 100% and then forget existed.
