60FPS would be a heck of a lot harder to maintain at 4K than at a lower res, but assuming sufficiently capable hardware to keep an unwavering framerate then it would just be a difference in clarity.

Is it possible it could have been on a Dreamcast? Because to me that sounds more like Record of Lodoss War than Diablo 2. Aside from items/skills I don't recall any dragons in D2, although there is a superfluous abundance of fire. On the other hand, I'm struggling to remember if there were any pillars during the dragon fights in RLW, but in my defense it has been a hot minute since I last took that one to completion.

Also, with your neighbors, were you actively playing together, like a simultaneous co-op game, or were you all just looking at the screen while one person played? That could help narrow it down, considering D2 would have needed everyone on their own PC and RLW is single player.

If you were all playing together, and given the alleged time frame, I'm wondering if it could have been some incarnation of Gauntlet. Possibly Legends or Dark Legacy?

From the store, I have been enjoying Cartwheel Kitchen. On their own they are astonishingly bland, even for grocery store nuggets, hilariously bland. Applying a hot sauce on the saltier side, like regular Crystal, works magic on them.

That's probably accurate. Hell, I've been places where even some stores I'd gone to for years have gone downhill, whether new workers/management or something else. Occasionally they'll recover after a while.

Necromancer. Sure, they don't get "natural" speed boosts like some of the other classes, but the most laborious thing they have to do is organize loot while their army burns down the countryside.

I did, mostly on PC but a little on Xbox. It started out pretty good, then David Brevik left and I guess everything fell apart.

I voted Kojima at first because I'd confused Lynch with Cage. Having repaired the connections in my brain, I'm comfortable with my choice. Kojima is a relic, once a master of the craft, but lost his touch and hasn't done anything good in 23 years. Lynch had Naomi Watts and Laura Harring have naked fun time, put it on film, and let all of us watch it.

They should really open source that game, it's clear by now the developers don't have the time or resources to debug and optimize.
