Sephiroth decided I needed a bit more challenge doing the ARM quests.

Got half my crafters to 40 today, felt really dumb when I realized I could've been using the Diadem nodes that didn't have the items I wanted to check for items I'll need at higher levels. I mean, I still haven't checked what I'll need, so maybe they're all on the same ones, but I didn't even think about checking until I was pretty much done with the 20-40 gathering anyway.

I'd like to play Strikers but still haven't gotten to Persona 5.

I was planning to get through 3F and 4 first but with my PS3 down I guess I might as well put the kibosh on that plan for now.

Ah crud, I missed Moving Out. Then again, I'd probably rather play it on PS anyway, my in-laws have it there and it's co-op heavy.

Assuming you're pretty well maxed on the crystarium, here's a chunk from the guide I used when I 100%ed the game (twice, once each on 360 and PS3):

Battle 21: Barthandelus (BOSS). This guy is a walk in the park compared to the
last time you fought him, mostly because you're so much stronger. I just used
the lazy approach with Fang, Hope and Lightning, and I still beat the target
time with 2 minutes or so to spare. If you want to go faster, start in
SAB/SYN/MED and stick him with DeShell and DeProtect. Then, COM/RAV/RAV to
stagger, COM/RAV/COM to attack, and COM/MED/MED to heal. He only has one
attack that you should be scared of: Thanatosian Laughter, which will take all
3 characters down by about half. Fortunately, the charge time for this is more
than enough to switch to your healers and absorb the damage. If he takes his
debuffs off, go back to SAB/SYN/MED and put them back on, and you'll be out of
there with barely a scratch!

Im in an extremely similar spot where I played it at release and stopped during chapter 11. I remembered the name of the boss I got stuck on was Barthandelus.

I wouldnt want to start over at this point but I have considered the idea of attempting to finish where I left off.

Bartys the last boss of that chapter so youd only have a few hours to go after that.

That was Jihl Nabaat. They brought her back as a coliseum fight in XIII-2 and could join your party from there.

PS5 has a trophy for leveling all trusts to 90

I actually wanted to rate Hawkeye lower due to its recent release, but that wasn't fair. I genuinely liked almost everything about it. If my opinion matters at all, I'd want Marvel to see this ranking. Hawkeye didn't do anything all that special but almost everything it did do was spot-on what I hoped. Even seeing would be step daddy try to be a hero was pretty cool. I think it undersold some characters, but a non-Hawkeye sequel of sorts has already been confirmed, right?

Ran through the Warring Triad storyline today. Went pretty well, but my son managed to disconnect the PS5 while trying to plug a mouse and keyboard into the Xbox so I'll have to watch the last cutscene tomorrow.

Maxed out my gatherers; went by very quickly. My highest crafter (WVR) is only 86 though, and most of the others are 81 or 82.

Hit 90 as BTN just in time for my lunch break, for which my plan is to finally run the 90 trial and be done with this MSQ. Then I can spend the rest of my shift figuring out what I should do from there.

Dumb question, when do collectable appraisers change what they'll accept? I picked up some rarefied coconuts running leves to level botany and they're not taking them right now.

On the one hand, sitting in the pre-final trial area has some really good music. On the other, it's gonna be a few hours until I have the time to actually queue up for it, so I guess I should go do some other stuff in the meantime. Maybe I'll finish off the melee DPS role quests.

Also - despite running with trusts and thus getting 100% of the loot I didn't get a single accessory I can use in that dungeon.

Zone 6 spoilers: These descriptions of the busted dragon eggs are turning my stomach real hard thanks to an incident I had back when we raised chickens - I had one that I cracked into the skillet to make for lunch one day, only it turned out to have been gathered really late and the dead chick was mostly-formed. Couldn't eat eggs for months after that.

Hit level 90 during the preparations to head off to the final zone. 89 trial ended up being exactly what I was expecting. So that was nice.

They actually tried to do that but couldn't get the hardware to set up, even offering to pay well over market price for the servers.

$750, youre paying retail price for all the items. But except for NBA2K which I sold it was all stuff I was going to buy anyway (the GameStop gift card went to my copy of Metroid Dread).

I got mine in one of GameStops bundles, came with a couple games, a year of PS+, and a GS gift card.

Working on the 87 MSQs. This is some good stuff.
