I get what you're saying in that it is not as straight forward, but it is the gist of it to me and many others and how we've understood it. I understand some see things differently.

Maturin is not really supposed to be God. God is involved as a totally different being.

Furthermore, Maturin and Pennywise being referred to as "brothers" doesn't really negate what I said. Maturin is treated as a Guardian of one of the beams and created just one universe, not all of reality. Pennywise is a simarly powerful bad guy.

I was referring to his true Deadlights form, which is just a form of energy in the Todash. Energy that can be wielded like magic by dudes like CK.

I've never seen anything saying he serves as some eternal force or has any eternal purpose. Neither does Maturin, who is not a creator. He's a Guardian. He spit out the main universe becsuse he was feeling sick, but he too is just another Todash monster.

I really dont feel like digging, but the concept of the World Turtle creating the universe simply
because he was sick has a lot more implications than it sounds. Writing it off casually that the Turtle is not meant to be a representation of God & cold hard reality would be bad faith at best.

Ill leave you with The Turtle regards the Deadlights as his brother, assigning them as an entity & reinforcing the opposition to itself. Thats really all you should need to know. What King may or may not have done with the lore regarding the Crimson King & the Deadlights is not as simple as people make it sound either. For example, the Pennywise monster uses the Deadlights.... but the Deadlights are located elsewhere. Thats complicated.

I am afflicted by both a naturally occurring & a heavy reinforced aversion to this style of music.

I think that's old science. Iirc, most modern nutritional studies say that cooking veggies does nothing to the nutrients. I'm no expert, just what I recall hearing.

I can only imagine that cooking would destroy many nutrients. This is desirable for many meats, as they can contain harmful bacteria. Lightly roasted veggies (especially peppers) are delicious though. Cooking can help your body break down the food a little more, similar to chewing.

I don't believe so. They are not over there. IT broke through the barrier of the tower and made Derry his little hidiehole. The deadlights are sorta his true form and that is why they appear and the kids can look at them. If they existed outside of reality they could not.

An entity who only consumes is the definition of a being the anti-thesis to existence. Thats the point. The Turtle is creation. The Deadlights are destruction. Life & Death ~

They are not a minor demon or random monster anything like that. Thats what makes the story so interesting, because its just like this silly clown. But it ends up being the most direct manifestation of the apocalypse god. What the people cannot do is destroy the Deadlights nor can they access them normally. If the Deadlights were fully brought into this reality, it would mean complete chaos & instant destruction. Thats the story.
