Disney owns a literally shit-ton of studios they use to put out all sorts of mature content. It just doesnt have the Disney name slapped on it. Check it out some time. A quick google search will tell you all you need to know. I think somebody compiled them into an article and thats how I found out about it

Theres long, long footage of continuous gameplay. People have played the game. At the very least, Im curious about the finale. The last act is extremely important to a Metroid game, and theyve propped this up as being the endgame of Samuss central arc. Ominous.

That was the moment I knew James was basically screwed. It reeked of the kind of thing the villain says before they reveal that they are actually the hero and youve been playing the bad guy the entire time.... this was all a dream... and theyre about to have you executed for your crimes. SH trilogy was truly a labor a love, even if 3 perhaps watered it down a little (similar to the movie) ~ All this talk of sequel, sequel, sequel today really got me thinking. Maybe some things dont *need* a true sequel.

Take Resident Evil for an especially fitting example.

I could live with a Silent Hill Remake after Silent Hills (first-person stab at the franchise, which is supposedly back on the menu in one form or another) ~ same model as Resident Evil, basically. Then, give us another good movie. Silent Hill is a series they dont have to pull any punches with. The more of that we get, the better. True AAAs are too busy figuring out how to make the new hardware & software work lol & meanwhile, it seems like the developers are taking their sweet time until PS5s have truly trickled down into commonplace. Right now, its still a little rare.

This will live up to the hype. Its a crucial title for Nintendo.

I overall really enjoyed this franchise and would check out any new ones. But I'm fine with it being done.

But still this is pretty unusual for a rather well liked horror franchise that doesn't require returning characters or anything. Although horror franchises in general don't pump out as many movies as they used to. Which is actually pretty interesting because you'd think low budget horror sequels that would make a killing on streaming services.

Theyre very good!

The rebuild follows the structure laid out by the original almost to the T, but **spoilers** presents itself as both a sequel, a remake, and a continuation of the original plot ~ following the example laid out by End of Evangelion: in other words~ Imagine how Final Fantasy VII remake deviates from the plot by demonstrating that Sephiroth remembers past/future events and all this has taken place before, but he presumably caught that information from the Life Stream. Thats basically how the Rebuild handles its story.

By the third film, we are 110% in the realm of a sequel, and Ill admit that I didnt fully understand the direction until diving into Nadia: Secret of Blue Water, to which Neon Genesis Evangelion was originally planned as a sequel to. In Nadia, they have the Adam/Eve giant & even explain why there is overlap between Aliens & Angels. So, without that.... you might be a little confused ~ which isnt necessarily a bad thing.

The animation is fantastic, as are the new designs. Come to think of it ~ this whole thing sounds an awful lot like Dark Souls II

Needless to say, they are filming an Obi-Wan series for Disney Plus.

given the length of Star Wars films and his involvement, this could be the most weve yet seen of Ewan-As-Obi-Wan onscreen

If they did a Hellraiser film exploring the Cenobite reality where all manner of different horror movie monsters & slasher villains show up, that could be interesting as well. Use Pinhead as like a Crypt Keeper, to which his role has already largely been established since Hellraisers inception.

and Michael kills the lot of them then and there, only to be gunned down by police himself when he attempts to escape into the streets after slaughtering the Cenobites. Before the credits roll, the screen goes black, and the Cenobites discuss resurrecting Michael Myers ~ as his final interaction with them (actually killing them) was seen as a reaction which pleased them, and they believe they can get him to do it again.

Michael Myers eventually getting captured by the Cenobites is potentially the only feasible crossover which you could do. He just isnt a superpowered killer like the rest of them.

Ghostface is just kind of off the table, tbh. Not sure why that would be an option.

Besides, Halloween vs Hellraiser has a nice ring to it. Imagining Michael Myers getting poked & prodded by Cenobites has a certain appeal to it, eh?

He (Michael) is totally apathetic & just supposed to be a more down-to-earth serial killer instead of an actual monster, but he has a soul of darkness.

I imagine that he would be entirely useless to the Cenobites, because he would endure the torture & wouldnt take to becoming a Cenobite because cooperation is entirely against his MO. So... Michael Myers eventually kills several of them during their experiments in getting a reaction out of him, and they release him....

or, better yet... they lock him in a cell & he releases himself, to which the effect is that the lead Cenobites are slightly relieved.

or they brainwash him and he eventually breaks free of their control. honestly, theres any number of interesting things that could be done with this matchup. But I doubt it would ever happen in reality. The two franchises are distant and best and their property owners are notoriously tight-lipped. You might be able to convince them to do a comic book.

So. After writing this comment on a limb (but before posting it) I decided to do a little Googlin

Turns out there were several ideas for a Helloween (some of which were closer to the mark I suggested than others) ~ but, yes, the current holders of at least one of these properties is opposed to the idea. Which is understandable. They have their own plan on the table. Still, that isnt stopping them from incorporating these concepts into a new Hellraiser film!

The Cenobites vs some sociopath sadomasochist antisocial psychotic who neither responds to torture nor has any intention on cooperating as a Cenobite, and is resistant to mind-control, while being capable of extreme & surprising feats of physical strength..... sounds extremely alluring to me. It would be a great follow up to the themes laid out by Judgment anyway, eh?

Netflix has the original show (which really is a masterpiece) as well as End of Evangelion. I think youll need to get a copy of the other ReBuild movies to see them though. Its been awhile since Ive checked, but I watched them all in Sub. Couldnt tell you if a dub existed! Sorry ^.^

Evangelions popularity there has been compared to Star Wars over here, and said to greatly outweigh that of most other Anime (although there are more popular Manga, like One Piece for example) ~ Imagine Pokmons popularity in US during the 90s.

Now, imagine that that popularity had never faded. You still see Pokmon cars. Pokmon shops. Pokmon *everything*. Thats Evangelion.

Hell, the creator went scorched earth on the entire internet for 6 months & kept the film from away the rest of the world.

For *6 months*. Can you believe that? You had to be *in Japan* to see the new/final Evangelion until now. Crazy. Ive never heard of anything like that for something so popular! lol

Tune in for the revolution. August 13th~

(Its not too late to watch the initial show & films. If you have never seen Evangelion.... do it. its only 25 episodes or something like that. If you binge it & do a little marathon on the other 3 or 4 movies, its perfectly feasible. Should only take a few days tops.)

Tbh, this is a once in a lifetime experience. This movie has been greatly praised as the best thing since sliced bread. A tall order for Evangelion, which has been decisive in its various iterations since the initial inception & infamously bizarre ending (to which there are a number of excuses that quite frankly dont make sense lol. I think they just wanted to cover face & stir the pot).

could do without the Princesses of Heart, but its appropriately weird & honestly very interesting. Im not sure theres a suitable replacement which would have the same effect, and cause the player to really reflect on the meaning of Kingdom Hearts ~ of course, that whole thing was lost on the sequels in favor of holding grandiose battles & inadvertently immortalizing Ansems whole shtick in the most unironic fashion I think Ive seen.
