I hated the ending. And this is mostly what I remember about the game
But somehow I am still happy to see those somewhat high scores...and I agree with them

Up until the Delta twist, I enjoyed it very much
I remember liking the Team D ending a lot and felt it was very emotional
The story is hit by the ending and not answering some VLR stuff, but it was still enjoyable until a certain point

There really aren't that many load screens. If you aren't going fast you have a lot of time between loads.

From the moment you step on a elevator/shuttle, until you reach the destination and can move again, it takes 40 seconds

Now granted 40 seconds is not a long time for AAA games. But in this type of game..I feel like it hurt it quite a bit.
There are some games that must minimize the loading times as much as possible. Roguelikes especially, for example

Got 100% on my normal save file and finished Hard on 04:43 first time (without trying to speedrun)
Kinda liked this run more, EMMI were less of a pain in the ass this time around and I got the boss patterns down (although some of them were still a pain because they hurt so much)

But I have new complaints - The loading screens are too much. The animations for saving and all that sucks. This is a fast-paced game, those things are immersion breaking

Finished Attack on Titan. Now to wait 2 months for the final part of the anime...
I feel like saying this is the best anime I have ever seen. Not like I watched a lot of anime in my life, but still! considering how hard it is to excite me nowadays (apathy from growing old, general idea that most stuff I have seen are just recycled in some form in another show etc) yet AOT managed to do that and I don't remember the last time I enjoyed something so much as I did AOT

I have no idea what is the general consensus about the manga ending, but I want to believe it delivers.
Season 4 had a lot of questionable choices so I am not really sure I like the direction it's going but... I still want to believe because it was near-perfect up until very recently (the last few episodes of season 4 are..uh...yeah)

The biggest agreed-upon "constant" I've seen is the requirements of stats and XP. Basically, the playable characters have numerically denoted traits (Vitality, strength, stamina) that can be incrementally increased by defeating enemies or completing quests.

But that's just saying "this game let you level up your character/s" without actually meaning what the type of the game is
Like, if I say "SOTN is a Metroidvania" it makes much more sense than to say "SOTN is a RPG"

With that said - SOME indie games really are overrated.
I do like atmospheric games but god, GRIS and Journey are so damn overrated. They are so boring.
Celeste and Hollow Knight deserves all the love that they get

Game done
Saw a lot of complaints about it being "too hard" but I never felt it
Some bosses were tough but they have a very good learning curve so in a few retries you can almost evade them completely
EMMI segments were very annoying but not "hard" either. But I hated them and they sucked
Map was kind of annoying, being all over the place.
I did like how they made you unable to go back in some "hard to figure out how to proceed" parts, preventing you from wasting plenty of time backtracking the whole game
Bosses were super good

Overall 7/10ish experience I guess

BDSP but I am not "excited" for them, I am just going to play them and expect to be disappointed
Followed by GTA Trilogy which I also plan to play for achievements sake
Death's Door is not new, as it was PC and XBOX exclusive. But I want to recommend it to people - play it, it's good!

Just think Indie games get inflated scores in everything because its demographic consists of poor people.

Hmm...on average, maybe. It's probably true that the general public will have more access to a very popular cheap game that get passed around by a word of mouth
But there are some indie games that are praised by critics and veteran gamers alike. We are talking about people with 30+ years of gaming experiences.
I played plenty of AAA games myself and I can say that there are many indie games that are much better than some AAA games
Having a high budget doesn't guarantee a fun game. And the opposite is true too

Yeah, probably. Back then I only had a NES with like 10 games and no Internet
So if I wasn't playing, I was watching something. But even then I had enough variety because we recorded TV shows

Lion King does rank high for me but who knows how many...

IIRC initial reactions were that it was good

I have a friend who is a Marvel fanatic and he watched Endgame like almost every month ever since it came out and I am still not sure he actually watched it more than 20 times

So uh..I will be very surprised if there are many people that have watched a movie more than 20 times..

To be honest every single (not in a relationship) gamer should be envious of SHINE
The time he spends playing video games and how quick he Platinum's them is impressive. He is also working in a full time job so it's not like he is a NEET or anything

I feel a bit conflicted because I like how deliberate the link between the "roguelike" gameplay and Zagreus' seemingly-impossible quest to escape from the underworld is, but having to grind out so many runs to get the corresponding dialog/story advancement got tiring fast for me and I ultimately didn't get very far.

The Achilles and Patroclus story is the worst
Each time you talk to one of them about their relationship it's always *short new info* and then "Let's not talk about this anymore" or "leave me be"
And then you have to run back to Elysium, have like 30% chance to see Patroclus room, get a bit more "oh, he said that? thanks. Leave me" and by the point you are finally done with both of them, you already finished pretty much everything else in the game (assuming you don't go for a perfect save file of course) and tired of playing it
