I haven't been playing lately I got sucked up into Diablo 2 but also found out that atom RPG officially released their expansion last month so I also got sucked up into that. I might be down to play later if anyone is up for it.

Okay so funny story, at the uni there's a control scheme on our switch named wumbo. No idea who it is, but I happen to use that control scheme because it's the only one that's the way I want it (didn't feel like making my own). So now everyone thinks my tag is wumbo. God damn it lmao.

I played some more at the smash club at the uni. This fairly new person came in today, he's a Mario main. Him and I are about the same skill level. We were playing a free-for-all match, and us too ended up being the last two opponents. And he kept complimenting my movement with donkey kong. "Oh shit this DK is actually pretty good" and "your spacing is perfect". Never received a compliment like that before, but it was flattering as hell. Him and I were taking games off each other here and there.

Btw I'm down to play in about an hour if anyone's interested.

You guys have any good online tournament recommendations for Wednesdays or thursdays? I want a break from the typical quick play and random arena grind, could be a fun hour or two. Not really sure if any are still going on though now that offline is back?

The box still goes on, but you have to be subbed to hbox on twitch. Thursday I dunno anymore, I'm sure there are some on smash.gg. Used to be more tournaments before offline started happening again.

Played smash again at the uni, this time I play it against three veteran players a little bit. One guy specifically I was having some pretty close games, lost most of them. One game I didn't like because he pitied me. I missed a rest and he just side tilted to wake me up. And guess what? I ended up winning that game. So it feels like a fraudulent win. Did he go easy on me the whole time? Dunno. Too many mind games.

weird thought, but I wouldn't want to main a dlc character, because what are the chances they will be in the next game? then I gotta learn a new character when the next game comes out. Sega IPs are the exception because Sega will agree to license anything over a cup of coffee.

i do think some of the players were inexperienced to an extent though, because they were making a few questionable plays, like recovering on stage while in freefall so i can get an easy rest lol. one guy said "holy shit that was awesome" not really dude >_>

so yesterday I was playing smash at the uni, and I was consistently destroying everyone with yoshi, puff and dk. could it be I finally awoke?

when I got home I played quickplay for a short while. no, I did not. got my ass kicked like I usually do lol. tried all 3 characters, still got wrecked (except I did win a couple with yoshi). I wasn't playing well at the uni, they must all be really inexperienced at the game lol. damn, I thought I was good haha.

They ended up just sticking a camera in front of the monitor and recording gameplay, with an audio cable running from the PC to the Mac, so they could record direct audio.

what video was this? i don't remember james ever having to record the screen with a camera except virtual boy and spiderman. but i'm sure i'm forgetting a video or two.
