They're like Final Fantasy, not connected at all outside of a sequel game or two in the franchise. Just pick up any that look interesting unless you're dead set on playing them all for some reason. I think they're of varying quality, so I'd just pick and choose.

I don't particularly understand how you can say it's not homophobic to not want to date a person of the same sex, but it's transphobic not to want to date a trans person. If biological sex is not a turnoff for someone, that's a perfectly acceptable personal preference that should never be shamed, but it's not a preference a lot of people are going to hold. Acknowledging that a trans woman is a woman does not magically make the aspect of her biological sex just disappear.

Its not a bad idea conceptually, but the lady looking like a Turbo Karen doesnt really help sell the idea. If done right, it can certainly be a good life lesson.

It always weird when people try to compare genitalia to political leanings, race, or other superficial aspects as if they're at all in the same sphere. Pretty sure everybody would agree that a crossdressing cis person tricking someone into sex would be rape, so not sure why gender identity suddenly makes biology a non-issue. Accepting their gender identity doesn't negate their biological sex.

Were in this weird area where people seem to think their status of being offended needs to mean something. Anyone can be offended by any joke. Anyone can say they dont find any joke to not be funny. But the number of people trying to outright say a joke is unequivocally not funny is kind if bizarre. We can obviously have a discussion if a joke is normalized hatred packaged as a joke, but its instead just extremely polarized due to our outrage culture.

I enjoyed Venom more. The father was a weird mess of a character in Shang-Chi and the final boss literally had no actual character. It was a run of the mill origin story without any real standout characters.

Most of them, pretty meh. It's not like they're not all deserving of being in Smash, but the major focus on third party characters was rather annoying where there are plenty of Nintendo characters that would have been better.

If they mention nothing about his former life and just play it completely soft reboot, it might end up good. If they drag up all the nonsense, itll be doomed from the start.

Only in the case of the 1 or 2 million secondary prize. Anything above that is instant retirement money, even if not extravagantly rich. Seems like its going to be an underwhelming game that meets base sales expectations but doesnt blow up. Hopefully itll lead to a more polished sequel for the people really into it.

The backlash is likely part of the reason it hasn't been as bad as it could have been. No corporation is just going to blatantly jump into that shark tank after all that fervor. They're going to play the slow game, making their millions over years by implementing small changes that eventually get them where they want to be.

Pretty much every game is at least decent, if not great. I can't think of any I'd call outright bad. At worst, gimmick ones like Mass Attack and the stylus games would be "not my cup of tea."

Even without the very weird implications, watching someone slowly fade into oblivion feels like it'd be horribly tragic.

No. I don't think I've seen a game where the risk/reward balance around it feels fun. It's just tedious. I think something like a "die X times and you lose your checkpoint, bouncing you back to the prior checkpoint" would be a better way to do it.

It could very easily be a recurring scam. Wait until the teller is super busy, leave less money than it costs, and then use that as an excuse if he gets caught. Not a ton of money, but could lead to big savings for someone who survives on change. Or could just be a dumb mistake as presented. Though the idea of taking merchandise without properly checking out is pretty suspect.

I guess my sympathy would kinda depend on if the guy pulls shit like that a lot and that was just the final straw or if it was a one time thing. If it was just one time stupidity, kind of dumb for the store to pursue it, but fuck the guy if he habitually does stuff like that and finally got caught. I could see someone growing up with a smart phone and never once needing a computer being unable to really easily adapt, but how would anyone in a field that regularly uses computers have this kind of issue?

I don't really understand wanting to co-opt existing franchises/characters in the first place. If the character cannot exist without being attached to an existing franchise, then it's probably just going to be shit regardless (Ghostbusters 2016 being a prime example). If they want to springboard a female spy Bond spinoff, that'd make a lot more sense. Just have the next Bond apprentice a female spy for two movies and then give her a movie of her own if she's popular.

Yeah, there's really no reason to be against it other than being prudish at this point. STDs would be much lower with proper standards. Morality has always been a BS argument. The exploitation of the vulnerable certainly won't get any worse, and it should realistically get much better.

The game is already really easy and it's not like you can't just shut off the game before you die if you do happen to die. It's also inconsequential once you're fare enough to buy stuff anyway.

Ahhhh, so its basically just useless with any app i use since i can't seem to get two things to work at all.

I think it's like literally for Notes and Calculator. iPad can multi-task with any app, but feature sucks in iPhone.

Using two apps at once, but it only works with like a couple specific ones rather than all apps like it does on the iPad.

Getting to the point of FTL travel means they're so far advanced that they'd be thinking of (or have AIs capable of thinking for them) variables that are simply incomprehensible to us. Something as simple as different sensory methods would be some of the most basic things for them. While culture, values, and sensibilities of such a race could vary wildly from our own, thought processes like basic logic would be needed for any species that's going to reach our level or greater.

Intelligent life other than us most probably exists somewhere out there in this basically infinite universe given that we exist and planets with similar properties are confirmed to be possible even within relatively close distance to us. The idea that we have any within our local star system is pretty unlikely considering the lack of radio waves.

No alien species smart enough to invent FTL travel would be detected by any technology we have currently available. The notion that anything smart enough to treat us like ants is going to be detectable to us is just one of the silliest things ever.

While 64 hasn't really aged that well in my mind, I could really never mesh with Crash any of the times I ever tried it.
