There's an additional element of psychology related to the viability of a character. If others see characters with more saves, they may reorder their priorities as well. Meaning someone who's, say, saving Kirby and Marth may switch to Marth before Kirby because Kirby's not getting saves as quickly.

I am only gonna be able to listen once. Actually I had to do "Pale Shelter" twice because the official T4F playlist on YouTube had a music video with garbage audio quality (they have the remaster on there separately). That makes a WORLD of difference when stacked up against the others. Album comments below ~~...

This is a really, really good example of early-80s synthpop, like Big Chair after it. The songs have a consistent gloss and work together well. Some of these you like or don't. I really enjoyed "The Prisoner" until I started hearing the same few notes again and again and again. There are many of those catchy melodies trademark of the era - and it all works for the better.

Yeah, this is painful given the way that unfolded. I could've gotten Rise ONE more round.

Ah well, at least I got her to the top 30, and that's what my intent was. I still have Tear, Maya, Tifa, and Aerith, and part of why I picked Tifa was that I thought she was more viable to make a deeper run. Rise was gonna struggle with 3 saves per anyway.
