I mean, it's okay, and it has one of the most ridiculous Sean Bean deaths in its climax, but the story in an Elder Scrolls game is merely what's holding it together. There are a bunch of interesting episodic sidequests (the paranoid schizophrenic elf comes to mind) and the world-building is pretty dang good, but the actual sequence of events is lacking. Not that there's anything wrong with that, as this is a game built around exploring and dungeon-raiding as opposed to plot.

5/10 for the writing

People are often too stupid to see the long-term because they're so fixated on what's right in front of them. The same is true for NFL franchises. They should've forced Baker to have surgery for the cake of his career. He's going to be another "what could have been" player because of the injury (not a bust), like RG3 was. And it's again the fault of the coaches for not prioritizing player health.

I'm willing to bet the rest of this season plus at least six games next year, likely around ten. Something equivalent to Vontaze Burfict that will probably end his career.

1. SHOCKED that Eli's 41 y/o. He looks closer to 31!
2. Snoop Doggy Dogg is a pretty fun get. Guy's really well-spoken and is bringing good energy here.

Yep. Packers clinch the #1 seed in the NFC. Packers beat the Rams and Cards and have a 9-2 NFC record vs. the Bradys being 7-4. Viqueens are out of the playoffs entirely.

Loverboy will likely start against the LOLions, or at least relieve Rodgers after one quarter, which should make it a closer game. Lions are 2.5-13.5 and are guaranteed the No. 2 overall pick to have free choice of QB to replace Jared Goof.... in a draft without many options, with one of the top choices being brutally injured yesterday. Barring the Jags trading the #1 overall pick... or inexplicably beating the Colts..

Inexplicable, thus... Raiders/Chargers for SNF next week, yes?

I presume that's why the Packers went for it on 4th down. LaFleur wanted to put it away early.

Remember that it's near-Ice Bowl conditions. That's gonna effect people's decisions. That said, I have been to a January game at Lambeau with single-digit temps and it was nowhere near as bad as I had anticipated it would be. There's enough body heat going around and I presume the field is heated too.

Skyward Sword comes to mind. Can't think of others that I didn't enjoy at all yet still beated.

Lucky Brand is my favorite but they're pricey. Shout-out to when Costco used to have them for like $35, I should have stocked up.

Yeah, Utah not using any timeouts was a bad call. A very, very bad call. They gave TOSU a free score and no time for them to answer.

TOSU also made the mistake of using the timeout with 12 seconds left instead of running one more play to center the FG and get the clock down to 5 seconds. They also could've done a squib kick.

Then Utah's return man should've gone down with 2 seconds left, but that's not a coaching error. I don't hold college players to the same standard I do NFL guys. Coaches are different.

Q2 has been a hell of a lot more fun than Q1. How many big plays is that in the last 3ish minutes of game clock? Holy crap!

ESPN had TOSU at 66.1% to win at kickoff. It's now at 74% in favor of Utah. That's a 40% swing in a single quarter.

I know I'm late to reply but it looked like TOSU's defender was hooking the arm of the receiver, and the WR didn't have time to move his arm to make the catch.

This Q1 has been pretty boring.

Watching the Playstation Fiesta Bowl and these idiot announcers said it's factual that the SEC is the best conference in football because of yesterday. I got a good laugh. Two great teams does not make the rest of the conference great.

How soon we forget how bad the rest of that conference is, while the Big Ten is much more competitive.

I am mostly with swordz here. The character interaction is a disappointment after P4 was so great with that, and them sitting around complaining about boredom got me to be bored, too. I too agree that Kamoshida was by far the most personal villain, and he was the opening act! After that, we did get some fascinating characters, but they were under-developed and I never quite felt attached to them. Palace 2 had a good villain whose only major problem was following Kamoshida, but Palace 5 was horrifically bad. The one thing I will disagree with swordz on is the text messages - it felt a lot more realistic.

Royal did add one more act that would get a slightly higher rating, especially since the original final act being fighting a god for the sake of it was unsatisfying. The final scene of Royal is terrible, however.

It's still got more fun gameplay than 3 and 4, but that's because those games show their age. 3 makes up for it with a good story while 4 makes up for it with fun character interactions that make the party legit feel like the player's friends.

Well shit. That's really, really sad, especially since she was so close to being a centenarian. RIP.

Not counting my morning mobile games (the ones that get my brain moving), Tales of Berseria. Per my playthrough topic.

I hope to get to this. I've been very busy all week.

I don't play those kinds of mobile games so I never got into Crestoria. I should probably regret that, but I don't know if it's pay-to-win or not. As wonderful as seeing that screenshot is... money's tight for me.

I also am guessing that's non-canon since Tear doesn't wear bikinis.

Still bummed, but also happy she got this far. It happens.

But I'm really bumping to remind people of the hiatus. No round today!

Sounds like someone was lazy. I do hope their position has been eliminated, because their excuses could have cost people's lives.

My most recent close call was a construction worker who backed up right in front of me as I crossed an unusual intersection on foot. He couldn't see the lights and the look on his face when I gave him that glare was one of pure horror. He realized that he'd almost killed me. Glad I was keeping an eye on him. Two more feet and I wouldn't be here.

Well fuck, I had a bad feeling. But hey, I helped her make top ten, and that's an accomplishment by itself.

Suprak, no need for a continued deal. Without Tear and Maya, Tifa is probably my top choice of who is left anyway. I'll save her as I'm available.
