I was shocked when I learned about the lack of maternity and parental leave in the USA. Do you expect that people don't have kids at all? Or only if they are wealthy?

It's not surprising that women would need to make use of a lactation room when at work given that they don't get paid maternity leave.

For comparison : In the UK Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) is paid for up to 39 weeks. You get:

• 90% of your average weekly earnings (before tax) for the first 6 weeks
• 151.97 or 90% of your average weekly earnings (whichever is lower) for the next 33 weeks

Yep. At the very beginning of the game Koudelka drops a pendant while she's climbing on the roof of Nementon monastery. Three discs later you get the chance to find that pendant when in the courtyard of the building. If you don't, you can't get the good ending and will lose the final boss battle. However, you can get another one if you fight some enemies near the boss area and they might drop the item. (But you wouldn't know that.)

It's so hard to get a conviction for rape. To have a convicted serial rapist/abuser be released like this is an insult to the suffering of all those women. AND it's an insult to all people who have suffered from sexual assault.

What was so ridiculous about Rick Beato's case (and he teaches music theory and promotes a whole range of music) is that it was the publisher that made the decision. It had nothing to do with YouTube. So the people making money from the song decided his argument of fair use wasn't acceptable. That makes no sense. There should be an independent arbiter in such instances.

One of the side effects of a woman taking the husband's name is that she gets *lost*. It can be hard to track down women based on the last name when it's been changed. That has an effect on history and knowledge. For example: a woman writer changes her name on marriage and her books carry a different name. Readers wouldn't know it was the same person.

Very few women know they are pregnant at 6 weeks. This is in effect a total ban on abortions.

By the way: Firearms are the second-leading cause of death among children and teens in Texas. About 288 Texas children and teens die by guns each year, and 54% of those deaths are homicides. Black children and teens in Texas are two times as likely as white peers to die by guns.

In the UK you have to complete an MOT for any vehicle over 3 years old and obtain a certificate to prove it is roadworthy (tyres, brakes, etc). I know that some states do not require this, or at least don't require a thorough check, and that the driving test is not as rigorous.

Gun ownership in the UK is strictly controlled. It didn't used to be so much until a mass shooting at a school in Dublane in 1996. It's the same in Australia and New Zealand where more control on gun ownership followed on from mass shootings. What's so weird is that America has so many mass shootings and does nothing about it.

My mother died from it but she didn't suffer as badly as some. She could still communicate and we would take her out to eat which she loved to do. Somehow she would be on her best behaviour when out and about.

However, she would swear a lot despite being a church-goer all her life who never using bad language. She spent most of her time locked into the past thinking her parents were alive. She amused her carers because she would walk up and down a corridor pushing a trolley thinking she was a girl guide leader, and giving orders to her troupe. She was sometimes aggressive but not as badly as some other people.

Both are fantastic games with wonderful music and memorable characters.
*Battles are blazing fast since you can just auto or let weaker enemies go.
*Also if you get a new character at level 1 and stick them in the team it will take no time at all to level them up: depending on your overall levels, but it's very fast levelling.
*Play Suikoden 1 first. It's very short and since some characters return in S2 it will be even more fun when you play S2.
*Also, if someone asks to join always say yes, even if they were an enemy! Potential recruits have a character portrait.
*In S2 there is an exploit which allows you access to a walled area of the map early on. This means you can recruit characters early and level up your team high before you were meant to, which makes the game a lot easier. (Basically, go north to the door in the wall and push. )

Some girls stay away from school during their periods because they don't have access to tampons/pads. A friend of mine was raised in a poor family with 5 girls and the cost was prohibitive. There was also a tampon tax imposed by the UK government which was a finally removed last year: a minor victory. These products should be free in schools, colleges, and all public toilets.

I had a GSD whom I named Freddie and he was the softest biggest eared dog I've ever owned, You could take anything from his mouth and he'd give it up. My female collie was a snappy nightmare and once she had a bone or stick she would snarl and bare her teeth.

But he also goes after a young woman of colour and her only crime is to be married and have a baby. It's horrible to witness. There were over 40,000 complaints to Ofcom, the media communications regulator in the UK about him. He has a privileged role as a presenter and it's about time he was made responsible for his vile views. They say he resigned but I think he was pushed.

Where I live dog walkers use those extended leads which means the dog wanders around and they have no control over it. It's as bad as having the dog off the lead. I've had dogs lunge at me and the owners don't seem at all concerned, just laugh. My friend was knocked down by a small dog rushing around on a beach. Even a small dog can do damage.

Dogs should be put down if they bite someone and do damage and the owners banned from keeping dogs. But to kill someone... that's the owners' responsibility.

She was 15 when she left the country to go to Syria. She and 2 other young girls had been recruited online - a bit similar to the way some youths get drawn into fascist organisations. She didn't do herself any favours by her comments later, but even so, she was technically a minor and born in the UK. She had three children and they all died.

It's a worrying precedent. The same ruling is being applied to others, and hers was a test case, asking that she could return to defend herself in the courts.

That's a huge load which never goes away. It will be worse with kids too, as you'll be the one organising/cooking for/cleaning up after them too. Pregnant or not, you need a fairer division of labour. If he's got a military background he knows how to keep things tidy, clean and organised.
