And with how Ultimate Vault Hunter mode gave enemies quadrupled health that regenerated, plus the boosted potency of slag, you HAD to have some reliable way of slagging everything or you were just fucked. Some people took to calling it Ultimate Slag Hunter Mode. I'm glad they reduced the importance of defense-lowering elements in 3.

Huh. Thats exactly what I'm talking about but ive never heard of a game called uninvited. I played it on a PC from a disc that had multple games. Starting to think it was some bootleg shit cause now I recall a 2d side scroller duke Nukem titled game

Yep. At the very beginning of the game Koudelka drops a pendant while she's climbing on the roof of Nementon monastery. Three discs later you get the chance to find that pendant when in the courtyard of the building. If you don't, you can't get the good ending and will lose the final boss battle. However, you can get another one if you fight some enemies near the boss area and they might drop the item. (But you wouldn't know that.)

Probably already been said but weight/inventory management. Whenever I can I mod it out of the RPGs I play on the PC.

The only games I feel like its justified are survival games that have you making supply runs for goods like State of Decay. Otherwise its just bullshit and if I'm playing on the PC its gone because I mod it to death.

Honestly if you want to know what mechanics suck about a game look at what mechanics people go out of their way to mod out regularly on the PC for that game.

The worst one, and one not a lot of people I would imagine have played was Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter. No save points until you beat the first boss, no skippable cutscenes. First boss isn't a pushover.

Odd was on the streets of rage 4 boards and people complaining about bosses being too easy often say add more regular enemies would be great. But I guess that's cause in a beat am up game being outnumbered is the real challenge.

They made the Permadeath an optional feature starting with Fire Emblem Awakening. So if you wanted to try Fire Emblem Three Houses (the newest game), you can just turn permadeath off. When it's turned off, characters that die in battle, return after the mission is over with no consequences.
