I have mixed feelings about D.Va. She's fun and all, but her personal trailer doesn't at all match her in-game personality, and the core concept of her character is kind of stupid. I'm kinda stuck in-between a No and a Yes so I'll just abstain.

I've also been playing Gunbreaker and it's fun as heck.

I planned that cross hotbar ahead too, and unless there's something I'm missing I'm not sure why it has a reputation of being so difficult.

It's the most difficult tank, which isn't saying much

My wife is playing through for the first time, and she's slowly getting the hang of the gameplay. We've only done the mission to recruit Liara for the main missions so far, but she's doing planet exploration right now to help her get used to the different aspects of the game.

Is she leaning towards Paragon or Renegade?

Tales just isn't a series that holds up the older you get. It's a lot easier to swallow the tropes and the inconsistent writing when you're younger. Berseria tried its hardest to avoid this entirely, but it's still shackled by traditional Tales wonkiness at times (still a very good story though).

So my Mom was recently hospitalized for a week. She made a full recovery, and she has very good health insurance, so everything turned out great.

And we're damn lucky she has very good insurance because the total hospital bill we got was $89,000.

I don't really understand this discussion. A politician made a comment meant to make another politician look worse by targeting an issue that many Americans feel strongly about. It was a political move, and one with a definite net gain. Your personal feelings on religion don't really come into play here.

I understand why sports organizations would like players to do interviews, but forcing them to do interviews when the player in question specifically wants to avoid public speaking due to mental stress is typical corporate bullshit, where the employees making all the money for the people at the top are seen as resources without feelings.

Like, the organizers in question here thought they were calling a bluff and it's biting them in the ass big time. I can't feel sympathy for that.

I only found out about this incident recently and it still made my blood boil. Yeah, Naomi pretty much deserves mental leeway after that debacle - and even if it hadn't ever happened, I would still side with her on this topic's issue.

If Adam Howden is so good (and he is!), why has he not become one of the dozen voice actors who get cast in every video game?

He's not part of the American voice cast that get used in almost every game, which happens due to location and familiarity. The reason Xenoblade has the VA it does is because Nintendo of America refused to localize the game, leading Nintendo of Europe to pick up the slack. This ended up being a blessing in disguise.

It's Shulk. One of the best voice performances in any game.

With that said, I'd like to give credit to Reyn, who is absolutely perfect in the 'best friend' character archetype. He won't get as many votes as the main character, the badass types, or people's favorite waifus, but honestly he sells his role better than almost anyone in Xenoblade.

One of my favorite ME moments is my Paragon Shepard letting that krogan on the catwalk talk on and on before finally reaching his limit and choosing the Renegade interrupt to set him on-fire mid-speech.

Don't gate character building choices/moments behind arbitrary points. That was the biggest problem with ME1/ME2 and we don't need it coming back.

I had forgotten the final boss of ME1 was literally a reskinned normal enemy with a lot of health.

Could've been worse. They could've literally outsourced the boss fights like some companies have done!

Random side note: this is a recurring problem with a lot of western series, I think, and I'm not entirely sure why. If I had to make a list of my 20 favorite boss fights I think close to all of them would come from eastern-developed games.

I played Hard Mode of Bloodstained right off the bat and it was awesome. Really let me sink my teeth into the combat system and figure out fun builds to give me an edge. Would definitely buy a sequel.
