I've noticed a lot of people recommending Noblesse for Diona. Maybe it's how I use her, but I kinda gotta wonder...why? You're obviously not getting the 2-piece because her damage is poo, so it's a matter of popping the 4-piece for the attack boost, but...I only ever use her burst when I need healing. Does it create a regular enough cryo effect to warrant using it for, say, a freeze comp? I'm aware there are effects when standing in the field, but I feel like those are bonuses rather than something you build around.

I'm honestly not sure how to evaluate this. There are good songs, and there are songs that take me back. But I'm not sure what the best combination of the two are. (Favoring the latter, obviously, but if it isn't a decent piece of music, I'm not going to care.)

And by top-rated, I mean by user reviews score. I tried making a list by going through the search engine, entering no text, and sorting by reviews, and I thought it was working, but I jotted down all the games with 97%+ and then looked at my wishlist, and the two games I had in that range were missing...so obviously my list is incomplete.

Ignoring the obvious strength factor, since that heavily depends on gear, mostly just elements. A cryo shield will better resist cryo damage. Also, certain effects are enabled with the shield up, like Noelle's heal-on-hit.

Hertz Rental Car and State Farm conspired to fuck me over after an accident where my car was in the shop. The rep from State Farm assured me that I had rental car coverage -- which I was surprised by, and asked for confirmation which I got, so okay, cool -- and then when the body shop took me over to Hertz, they just smiled and nodded and said, "Yup, rent away." And then because you have to give them your credit card beforehand so they can bill you the differential on gas in the tank, they proceeded to charge me for 10 days of having a rental, while State Farm came back and just said, "It's the policy holder's job to know what's in their coverage" and claimed that their representative did not tell me I had rental coverage. I'm like, go back and check the tape, which of course they never did because according to them it didn't matter.

I wouldn't have even needed a rental. My dad could have easily lent me a car. I dropped State Farm, despite our family using them for decades, but I can't do anything to get back at Hertz except to swear loudly and longly when I have the chance that nobody else should use them either.

Only if you intend on popping her Q on cooldown. There are teams that want her to use it for cryo application, but my most frequent use for her is to pair with Ganyu for cryo resonance and I only use her skill when I need a heal. However, I would argue that her set isn't super important. I'd rather just take whatever the best random HP pieces are for her. Sneaking 2 piece Millelith in helps, though.

nah. a case can easily be made that 2 is better in terms of characters and pacing, even taking endings off the table.

I'm sure a case can be made, but if I ranked them, I'd have 12 DRV3 characters at the top before I even listed 4 characters from DR2. (I'd have ~6 from the first game.)

Pacing is an open-ended argument as long as we agree that 1 is the worst for pacing.

I didn't play Danganronpa 3 but I do think that things like this would have more of an effect on my rating in a topic like this than it would even when just talking about the game in general. Like to me it feels like this topic is about "evaluate the story as a whole on its own merits" in which case things like this can easily matter, but when talking about the game in general the relevant question might be "is playing the game enjoyable on a moment-to-moment to basis and does the story succeed or fail in facilitating that?" In which case maybe the details of the ending to a 30-40 hour long game don't necessarily impact much.

And my reaction is that with as story-heavy as those 30-40 hours are, and going in with the awareness from two previous games that the endings are always a bunch of inane garbage there simply to wrap up the story, one should look at the journey and not the destination.

I would not normally make this argument because, as you (and others) say, endings matter in a discussion about story. I feel like getting upset over the ending in this instance is a bit extreme. I know it's a polarizing ending and I know that some people don't really like Danganronpa anyway, but the volume of numbers below 4 here just boggle my mind since either those people hate themselves enough to play a series they can't stand through three decently long games, or they think this is so phenomenally the worst entry in the series when it surpasses the first two games' strengths in almost every regard.
