I know its for a real working car but I am curious why it isn't listed in the proper category. It isn't also in the normal cars and trucks section for my area.

So, i don't know. Do you feel this is at least worth looking at? It's not practical, but I kinda know that, but I've wanted one for years and I see one that looks decent at a great price.

Yes, I want a Del Sol. Yeah, it's an automatic.

160,000 miles is a lot, however the price is dirt cheap. The body looks kinda rough, but again, price.

I feel like this may be worth it to pull the trigger on a super cheap but fun car that I assume could fall apart any minute.

I look at BMI something like this:

In the NFL a small running back can be 5'7" 190 pounds(I think - may not be accurate).

I've been 5'7" 190 pounds or around there most of my life. There is obviously a universe of difference between the two bodies.

Under. I lost 35 pounds in about a year and a quarter.

I was 214, then I got down to 190ish, then I stalled for months and months, then I made another push, got down to the low 180s, and now I am in the high 170s.

It's been a minute since I felt this good. At 5'7" I am still overweight, but I'm lighter than I was in high school, and all of the skinny jeans and shirts I bought around then fit me great now.

I feel like they want people to use the apps their programs are on(such as the challenge on paramount plus), so they only show new episodes of their heavy hitters because they have to have SOMETHING to show. Reruns must be on streaming. Everything else can be a clip show, because its not something people need to see by any stretch, and they know it is just failarmy on youtube with awful commentary.

I wasn't expecting complete sympathy. I like the fact people reinforced I could get FT very soon since Ive been around for so long, and even a better FT position because I have more time and higher qualifications than my co-worker. That is positivity but it isn't people feeling sorry for me necessarily. I was also seeing if I could get different perspectives, outside of my mom who I know has my back and is on my side, but she doesn't present any sort of actual....i don't know. Of course if I'm making slightly reasonable points she will be on my side agreeing with me. I wanted, like, maybe a little more than she could provide.

I know this is a public forum, but I try to stay away from the inane drama here. You don't see me going into threads making cracks about people not having jobs, pizza NDAs, shit that happened over a decade ago, etc. If I made a joke or throwaway topic or something not as serious it wouldn't have mattered much. I made a personal thread so I feel like out of just decency, we don't need to do that. Though your original comment, Winter, wasn't that bad. I was going to just ignore it by scrolling by or maybe making some sort of joke to it. But then somebody comments on it(not your fault) with some inane drama stuff, then you gotta reply back, then a small fight breaks out, then people have to come in and rubberneck. Like, come on. Save that shit for one of a thousand threads here. Not one where it is explicitly stated the OP is having a bad day.

I know, public forum, people can drop their pants and shit where ever they choose. But maybe people should realize we have toilets here. I would know. I've made several <PotD bathroom> threads over the years. Even one wherein the turnkey vending machine had the key to the universe for 75 cents!

Full time positions are highly coveted in this company, because you go from making a decent hourly wage at 24-32 hours a week(and thats about it) to max hours(37.5) and loads of vacation, sick and personal time among other things. Based off of my coworker who got FT's hire date I could have been offered FT positions 6 months ago or more. This is why it stings so much for me. I've been saying to a lot of people(including the old manager) that I want to move up the ranks, because I want to advance in this company. I've wasted at least 6 months of my time making less money and getting almost zero benefits. Nobody thought it was odd I wasn't being asked if I wanted FT positions? I joined shift running(this isn't a promotion. its kind of like a small step up where when you are managing you get $2 an hour more, but no extra benefits or anything), so nobody thought it was odd I didn't send out the most basic of e-mails to be considered for the one thing almost everybody in this company wants? Now, I know I have to be self sufficient to some degree. But when this e-mail was being talked about yesterday I thought people were speaking French. My current manager, and even the coworker who just got full time were immediately thinking "Why didn't they offer it to the guy with an extra year of seniority?" I was under the impression when you rose to the top of the part time seniority list, you'd automatically get calls. I was wrong.

But I don't know who is to blame for the e-mail thing. Obviously my co-worker was clued in. My friend at another store who got FT never sent out an e-mail, according to him, but I guess somebody had the wherewithal to check if he did and did it for him or whatever, because you HAVE TO send one out. It could be my own incompetance. Maybe I was clued in and had a brain fart, and the topic never came up again. Maybe my old manager was just being dumb and useless. I would have needed him to show me where to find the form I needed to fill out and attach to this e-mail. But ultimately, placing blame is kinda pointless. It isn't going to change my position.

The good thing however is that since I did send out this e-mail yesterday, I should be at the top of the list for full time, and my shift running credentials will be looked upon favorably. So, I am trying to think of the future, since it WILL get better. This is taking a lot longer than I imagined to "get over it" but I imagine I will get over it.

I know that is an option. I haven't blocked anybody on here in a long time because I can usually deal with it or scroll past it when I see it in other threads. But its been a while since I've had a catfight break out in one of my topics. I suppose I could have blocked these people until my thread naturally ran its course, but I wasn't really thinking. I kinda think I was too frustrated in general last night, and even more frustrated about a catfight brewing in a thread where I was talking about a situation that genuinely upset me, to think clearly.

I made a thread last night about something that had upset me. I posted it because I was frustrated and wanted different perspectives, and maybe some support. I know GameFAQs is not always the best place for that, but this place has been an outlet for me for nearly 20 years.

I did get some on topic replies, but of course, somebody posts about how I mention my job a lot, so somebody has to comment on how that person has no job(we've never heard this before about users here ever), then some back and forth between two idiots who just HAVE to say shit to each other, then a few other people join in on that discussion. I closed the topic because I was tired of getting new post notifications resulting in mainly dumb back and forth from idiots about something not even relevant to the thread. To the people who tried to actually post relevant, on topic posts: thank you.

But....can we please keep this dumb bullshit contained to actual shit threads? Or, anywhere else but a thread somebody makes where they state they are feeling upset and frustrated and sad?

My coworker has no obligation to tell me this stuff. My old boss has an obligation to tell me about this stuff. BUT I can't say for certain if he did and I never took action, or did and I declined, or whatever. I don't know. My old manager was about as thorough with matters as John Candy playing a detective, but I too am terrible at dotting my Ts and crossing my Is. So I can't sit here and say it is anybodies fault but my own. However, he should have kept on asking me every now and again about it, even if I declined it, because peoples situations change and your plans for the future may have changed. He may have asked me once, I said whatever I said. But he should have kept on asking me, or realizing what was going on. But without some audio of these conversations I can't say what I said back then. But what would be the point? My situation would still be the same.

I am not the assistant manager. When one of our two managers is out or on vacation, I do manage for a little extra per hour pay. Sometimes I go to other stores to manage when somebody there is out. This is called shift running. Basically like a more advances for of the entry level "permanent part time" position. Now this isn't all for nothing, since my hat is in the ring, and the DM knows I can run shifts, so I am a hot commodity, so that WILL be looked on favorably. But I could have had a better position with better benefits a long time ago if things were different.

The DM calls the store today to tell my manager that another employee who works there got offered, and accepted, a full time position with another store in the district. Full time, rather than part time, is where you get max hours and decent benefits.

I was curious about this because I have been working here for a year longer than her, and I haven't gotten any full time offers.

As it turns out, you need to send in an email with a form attached indicating you would like to be considered for full time. I never did that. I had just assumed this entire time when FT positions open up, they give them to people with more seniority, and slowly when more positions open up and your name creeps up the list, then you get calls.

No, I was wrong. I do not recall anybody telling me about this e-mail I needed to send out. I can't say for certain if my previous manager never told me, or told me and I never did it, or told me and I declined for whatever reason. I have no idea what happened.

I just feel like such a fucking moron. I could have had a full time position months ago if not longer, if I had sent out that e-mail.

I am overjoyed for my co-worker and have no ill feelings toward them at all. I'm glad they got full time because it awakened me to my own failings. Her FT is a position at a store I wouldn't have wanted anyways, but I don't know how many positions I would have taken passed me by because I wasn't doing things properly.

The only silver lining here is that my name is now in contention, as my newish manager got me set with the e-mail, so I should be person #1 they call to offer FT if a girl who has been there one year less got a position.

I am just really depressed right now and feel awful. But I have NO IDEA why I never sent this e-mail out. So, I can't say my old manager was being stupid. I could have been the stupid one. It just seems so silly. Maybe in the past I didn't want full time, but there is NO reason to not put your name out there because you can always reject offers if you get them vs never being considered.

I'm not going to do anything drastic or stupid, and I have calmed down a lot from earlier. I just feel like such a loser because a minor technicality has meant I didn't actually advance up the ladder for months, if not a year or more.

I don't know what else to say. I am trying to look on the bright side here, but it is hard to do. Ultimately, tomorrow is a new day, a better day, and I should be getting a new offer within a few weeks or months perhaps when they open up

I can think of a few similar things but no actual fights.

customer got into an argument with an employee over a 1c plastic bag

CustomerA wanted to fight Customer B(A is in line waiting to enter, B says he can enter because somebody left, A keeps saying he wasn't motioned to come in, B asserts he can go in...A goes in the store in a huff complaining about B, mused about beating B's ass, all while B is fairly oblivious to how mad this man was, entering a few minutes after A)

customer who threatened me because his GF came in drunk two times in one week(like, obviously shitfaced). First time I served her, second time I told her off and didn't serve her. Nothing even happened here, he threatened me next time he came in, I asked my boss to ban him and he did. Haven't seen 'em since.

maybe something else, but those are three I remember that could have devolved into my dream...

Also in this dream I remember my place becoming crowded as fuck, because despite a huge brawl outside, many came inside to watch the fight but avoid getting hurt. So I had to yell for everybody to get out.

I don't know...I wish I remembered the WHOLE dream for more than 30 seconds after I wake up. I even recall saying to myself for this one "I better fucking remember this all, this is good"

Customer comes into the liquor store(This was like part liquor store, part bar. I had just been hired a day or two prior). I recognize them from a previous job as being annoying. Not rude, but always trying to get something. This was a real life customer, too.

She comes up with a $3 off coupon, and goes 'Your manager wouldn't redeem this for me after the sale, so I want you to do it. I forgot this coupon earlier"

I respond

"You said he isn't going to do it? Then I won't either. I have to follow his lead"

After this she gets frustrated and upset, so she storms off outside, while her man and her friends man get into an argument and after that all I remember is some huge street-wide brawl happening. tons of people outside throwing down.

All because I wouldn't redeem a coupon after the sale, and the customer was dumb to tell me they weren't allowed to do it earlier.

stuff happened and I got one.

So...how bad is it? See for yourself.

https://imgur.com/4w2t0db

This is a bad photo, but it does look bad.

Overall, this one is simple. It feels somewhat like money. The serial number nomenclature matches up with what it should. MF for 2013 series Atlanta is correct. F6 is correct....nothing about this note seems off from a technical perspective like that.

The biggest and most obvious flaw is of course just how it is printed. While it feels like money, the entire note has some print doubling or whatever you'd call it, where everything looks out of focus. You will never see a piece of money look like that, and if you do and it is real, you'd wanna save it. On this note there is also no real raised printing such as his jacket or serial number indentation. Those do wear over time but you can just feel they were never there. This note feels 100% surface in ways it shouldn't. If this was a modern $100, the liberty bell strip would not be raised or even likely dance for ya. It essentially feels and looks like color newspaper when the print doesnt match up. I almost expected to see the CMYK stamp on the back

I could see this fooling people, for sure. While the printing overall is very off and cheap feeling, it feels enough like a bill and design wise there are no glaring errors(outside of the print. the design is just an exact surface-level copy of a bill it seems like) it could fool ya.

This is going to sound like poor advice but hear me out:

Try your best to be a positive person, the kind of person YOU'D want to be friends with. It may be tough to get into that mindset, but if you strive to be a person people want to hang out with and be around(positivity, friendliness, self respect, etc) people will want to hang out around you. It may seem like they don't, or nobody is noticing, but the longer you keep at it, it will eventually pay off.

I am a positive person. People have genuinely reciprocated that. However, sometimes people don't, but it isn't a big deal because I know I am doing it the right way.

the grammy awards have always been a joke though I feel like they have gotten better recently. But part of their joke-ness is just how music works. There are thousands of record labels, big and small, in just the US alone, producing tens of thousands of albums every single year. No committee could listen to them all and actually come up with nominees that make sense.

This has kind of always been the case for some genres, like Metal. Body Count winning a Grammy in 2021....
