Some have a decent understanding of offering a product people want at a fair price or enticing people with freebies. My point wasnt EGS was the gaming promise land. It was that people bitched about it being anti consumer and the free games they offered, for not even a subscription, made those people look like idiots.

Nintendo seems to have no understanding of anything when it comes to giving consumers a deal, or enticing people to their services. I dont think you can even call it malicious. I literally feel like their heads are so far up their asses they simply dont see what theyre doing. And they have the most loyal fan base in the entire gaming industry who support this shit and rarely complain. So they just get away with it time snd

Ive seen these people. Its pretty badass. But not the cleanest results. Also keeping that blade sharp is a whole thing.

Thats what line trimmers are for.

In general, you don't want to mow within 1.5 mower widths to any edge. That way, after your clean up pass, its 0.5 mower lengths needed to line trim. Which is roughly the size of the trimmer head.

yeah and to my point this is dumb as hell and there should be a better design so you dont need to buy two machines.

I am of course referring to these.

These are typically fine until you have to do an edge or a corner. Then they become a big cumbersome beast that doesnt maneuver very well and you need a whole separate machine to get the edges.

Could they not design something that makes trimmers and that obsolete, something that can get a corner or edge with precision and be able to back out or something...

this is the part where you tell me this already exists but for some reason hasnt caught on at all or any average person has heard of it.

This is just too complex for most games that despite caring more about dialogue and stories these days still prioritize gameplay and levels above them. This is more the territory of Visual Novels and walking sims.

This is a very simple design thing Im talking about here in games that already have pass/fail dialogue choices. Most play their hand immediately and I suggest it would be more immersive to not reveal youve failed a dialogue check until the resulting response from the character is completed...

Kind of. In DND you roll the dice and sometimes you know immediately that youve failed based on your roll. But most times you wont know if youve succeeded until the DM has played out what has happened.

Until I played Greedfall.

Its not a great game nor the best example of dialogue choice in a game. But it does something most games with dialogue choices dont do. It doesnt let you know immediately if youve passed or failed a dialogue check.

Which actually elevates it above most games.

I never realized how hollow pass/fail choices were when you select one and you get some big obnoxious text immediately on the screen telling you right away that it failed. It gives away the conversation and makes you stop caring what the NPC is saying. You know the outcome of the dialogue before the character even begins speaking.

Now I wish more games would take this suggestion
