yeah, AA1 crushes this one. think AA6's khura'in and AA3's themes are also pretty good.

my favorite part of AA4 was the MASON system. the part where you visit valant in prison, with AA1 music, kind of blew my mind with how good it was.

bummed you're not enjoying this part of the case - the realization that it was the president who was murdered was pretty insane to me, since almost every other past case has been super-straightforward. the fact that literally a president was assassinated was really interesting to me. the assassin himself does kind of suck, but that's life. this segment was comparable to 2-4's day 2 investigation for me.

hopefully you find some redeeming qualities in this final segment!

WCF game 2 was brutal reffing-wise, but definitely an insane finish

both those eastern round 2 series were super-dramatic too

think the ratings for the finals will be pretty poor, but the road there is awesome and i think more hardcore basketball will really enjoy it

01 is the oldbag theme, lol. it's extremely memorable. not awful, but not great either

02 is super-comparable, the ini miney theme

04 moves to the funkier side, but isn't great

07 is a slightly worse 01/02

09 is the first really good one of these, really like it. AAI2 is more like 04, kind of overly ornate.

13 isn't memorable but has a cool element of menace

16 is in the element of 01 and 02, but jazzed up. pretty meh on it.

16 abroad is kind of shockingly good. this is the 6-3 rayfa theme and it's pretty great

09 > 16 >> 11 > 13 > 04 >> the rest, i'd say

so these are the first ones i think i actively care about

AA1's is so good. and yeah, i think you do kind have to take the context into consideration. it's triumphant, but also just the littlest bit sad, like you've lost something (hey, there's always a victim), but like it's this beautiful moment that will eventually pass as well. it's kind of perfect.

really like AA2's. it holds up to its peers better than other tracks from this game, but it doesn't really do a better job than AA1. it does feel like a rewarding song to hear at the end of a trial though.

like the pursuit themes, AA3 feels like a riff on AA1 here. and just like with the pursuit theme, AA3's isn't quite as good - especially its "second movement," which i'd argue sounds more pokemon-esque than AA4's!

AA4's just sounds kind of... not special at all? like it's not actively bad, but these first three are just so good. unfortunate that so many of its tracks have come up short so far! it has an amazing objection theme and some solid examination/pursuit themes, so there's that at least, i guess.

AAI1's has a very "but the journey continues!" feel to it, which i'm not a fan of either. it's not a bad track but it doesn't capture the same joy that the 1 through 3 have.

AAI2's is really impressive, whoa - i'd forgotten how good this was. i like the thread in it that sounds a bit turnabout sisters-esque early on.

AA5's is a little... showy? it does beat AA4 and AAI1, but not super-hot on it.

AA6's is whatever.

so yeah, think i'm going with AA1 on this.
