SMRPG was the first RPG to feature the Timed Hits aspect of gameplay, which made the turn based battles far more engaging. I think it's properly rated, nor does it really have an armada of rabid fanboys.

FF7's main contribution to the RPG spectrum was the "unreliable narrator". Between its quality and its hype, there's a bigger disconnect. this is also how I think about BotW.

The BoF1 cart actually came with an item and enemy guide. It was great :D

BoF1 is good for its time. The cast is (technically) 0 humans; it's a fun jaunt through a fantasy world. There are multiple times when the MC changes (Nina and Gobi). Overworld skills was a cool innovation. The battles are pretty basic (lots of item use <3 E.Key and Flame Rapier).

The mechanic of "healing skills have action priority" is amazing if a bit low difficulty. Contrast this to a Dragon Quest of the era who used semi-random turn order, which could result in the boss acting last on round 2 and then first on round 3 and.... now you're dead.

90s saw a lot of innovation with South Park entering the field, along with some cool 3d stuff in the vein of Beast Wars and Reboot. Anime was getting exported/imported a la Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon, and then we had the SImpsons hittind their stride as well.

counted calories and got a kitchen scale and regimented food intake on a per-meal basis. Starting running and lifting about 4x a week for less than an hour a session. Lost about 1 lb a week for more than a year, went from an XL to M shirt.

I will say running 5k 4 times a week doesnt sound that easy to me. Heck I would probably be dead at 5 steps myself lol.

"Couch to 5k" is a good primer, if you're a potato who wants to be less of a potato.

Basically, just start doing ANYTHING that'll help raise your heart rate for a little while. Track it through actual metrics like duration or intensity (ie, run for 20 minutes) or (run with an average mile pace of 9:30), and each week make it a little harder (run for 21 minutes and/or at a 9:25 pace).

Same with lifting. If you can only do 5 pushups, do your 5 gorram pushups. Then aim for 6 and go from there.
