I'm not going to go as far as to say that, as everyone's situation is different.

There could be physical/mental limitations or other scenarios that have caused this situation to be what it is.

I guess as someone that has been working on a regular basis from the time he was 16 (I'm now 43) I just couldn't see myself living like that. Even if I were to win the lotto and didn't have to work, I'd still have some sort of a job to keep me busy.

You can't judge them solely on how they treat you, but you can accept some of their terrible treatment of others if they treat you well.

For example, I have a friend that used to constantly cheat on his girlfriends while were were HS/College aged. He always treated me with respect though, so why should that behavior change my view of him. "He treats women like shit, but he's cool to me".

I'm really close to the end of my rope with some of my co-workers as well.

I work at a (relatively) small, family run business (not my family). There's 24 employees total split between the warehouse and the office.

Problem is, the family members (9 of the 24 employees are related) tend to bring home conversations/arguments into work, creating a very awkward work environment.

To add, I'm the youngest in the office by at least a decade, and there's one guy that likes to pretend we're the same age even though he's about 15 years older than me. He basically asks me every day what I watched the night before, and whatever TV show or movie it was, he'll watch it that night so we can talk about it the next day. He's a divorcee living alone, and other than when he facetimes his daughter, he literally spends his nights smoking pot and watching tv, so all he does is talk during the day.

It's enough to drive a man insane. Only thing keeping me here is that fact that I'm literally the only person here that knows how to do my job (the person I learned from retired) so every time I threaten to quit, my boss gives me a raise to stay.

So you basically have morals, without using the words morals.

The definition for Morals is literally "a person's standards of behavior or beliefs concerning what is and is not acceptable for them to do".

So, you may not call them morals, but you care about them just as much as the next person.

People, in general, tend to treat people how they would like to be treated. Those actions go beyond any sort of religion.

Exactly.

No one born in the Mid-Late 80's is considered "Gen-X" just because they were kids when the X-Games came out.

The name "Generation X" comes from a novel by Douglas Coupland, Generation X: Tales for an Accelerated Culture, published in 1991. The first X-Games, and the birth of things being "XTreme" was in 1995.

Why do other people at the table get mad at people that make bad blackjack moves? Genuine question as I've never played it but isn't it basically everyone vs. the dealer? Wouldn't each player make no difference?
Basically, because there's more cards valued at 10, there's a better chance the dealer busts if there's more cards left in the "shoe". The more cards in the shoe, the more 10's in the shoe.

In theory.

You always assume the dealer's "down" card is a 10, so if a dealer is showing anything under 7, you have to assume they will need to hit, and (hopefully) pull a 10 or face card and cause himself to bust.

If you take a card when you're "supposed" to stay, there's potential to take that 10 from the dealer.

The basics:

Stand when your hand is 12-16 when the dealer has 2-6.
Hit when your hand is 12-16 when the dealer has 7-Ace
Always split Aces and 8s
Double 11 versus the dealer's 2-10
Hit or double Aces-6

And my personal rules:

Try you best to sit in the "last" seat (the one closest to the dealer's right) - you see the most card on the table that way, and get a better idea of what's left in the shoe.

Sit down with a certain number that you're willing to lose, and don't go past that. I personally sit down with the plan to either double my chips, or lose half my chips. Walk away when either of those happen, take a 30-60 minute break, then go sit back down.

You have a large hole to fill.

Fill the hole with 160 bowling balls, then fill the gaps with sand and dirt.

Or fill the entire hole with dirt and sand.

The bowling balls take up more space than just dirt and sand, so you then don't need as much dirt/sand.
