Feels like this isn't the first story like this. At least that joe4202 guy would have been happy that Ivermectin was used.

A) Not acknowledge three points of employee concern
B) Somewhat acknowledge a fourth point by hiring a law firm with prior ties to executives, case history of outcomes supporting the company vs employee, and reputation of union busting
C) Have a lady who dismissed the claims as factually incorrect be part of "voices of women"
D) Promise increased diversity in hiring (especially in gender) just months after saying a plan to do so is "unworkable"

They were effective but the way it played out and was enforced created a group of people who felt more threatened, entitled, or what-have-you than the actual virus.

Then you get people that talk like this

Which miffs them more, because they now dont feel like they're being considered. If you're trying to change minds, you lose every time when you try that approach

A) So if they were effective last year, on what evidence are you saying the vocal group will lead to a significantly larger non masking?
B) Are you saying they wouldn't have been lost if masks weren't mandated last year? Again, based on what evidence? When we look at two existing similar policies (seat belts and prohibitions on texting), the observed behaviors decreased my statistically significant amounts despite people's initial reluctance.

The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously for the funding after the county announced June 28 it would not reuse most of the voting equipment that was in the possession of contractors for the audit.
Secretary of State Katie Hobbs had previously warned the county that her office would move to decertify the machines if officials tried to use them in another election, citing concerns about the chain of custody after the Senate took possession of them.

So like... who is paying for that?

If you resist the beating in any way you get a charge for resisting arrest. Which carries a stricter penalty than the misdemeanor assault charge these guys are catching. So it's more of a crime to resist getting beaten than it is to do the beating.

You realize the answer to your question depends on a lot of unknowns right?

But for the sake of argument if conditions were EXACTLY the same (a demagogue and others repeat lies for months, incite the mob, the mob gets inside with chants of execution etc.) I would definitely condemn them. I can't speak for others on this board though.

Wouldn't the actual BLM protest in DC be a better comparison? Armed forces, barricades?

My argument is that leftist cancel culture will result in Republicans seizing the opportunity to become the free speech party. Americans feel pretty strongly, in theory at least, about free speech and will cast their votes over the issue. By making free speech a right wing position, progressives will actively cause people to vote Republican, thus hindering the enactment of progressive policies.
Trump isnt as stupid as we like to imagine and is already seizing the opportunity. Time will tell if this comes to fruition.

No I follow your argument, I'm asking for proof of your predictions based on current trends/events.

For example a survey saying that "free speech" has single issue voters (similar to abortion and gun rights). Or a broader survey that show the right as being more and more perceived as "guardians of free speech".

Changing voting center hours to benefit certain demographics

And yes, requiring specific types of ID for mail in than a lot of past voters didn't have is indeed voter suppression

Its pretty obvious that the right and the self proclaimed left both indulge in censorship (cancel culture). Both are wrong, but its more harmful when the left does it because it sets back progressive causes.
