If youre an X-Men fan and youre curious , its worth a watch at least. I will say watching Dark Phoenix in theaters I disliked it less then Apocalypse, but it still felt like why did they make this movie. I rewatched it a week or two ago, and while it has some ok bits, overall I didnt really like it.

Thanks- I'll put it this way- after the first 30 minutes of Apocalypse I was just waiting to see how the plot would resolve. I wasn't bored per se just impatient for the next plot point.

I honestly think DOFP is the best of the "prequel" movies. It's up there for me in Top 3 of all X-Men movies.

I'd recommend anyone who wants to do a rewatch to check out Adamantium order, an order I kinda came up with:

X-Men: First Class
X-Men (2000)
X2
X3
The Wolverine
X-Men: Days of Future Past (OG or Rogue Cut, either way)
Logan

It doesn't fix all continuity errors but drives an interesting narrative. Jumping from First Class to X-Men creates a situation where Mystique joins with Magneto at the end of First Class, and is still with him in X-Men. By X3 you see Beast return, who has changed quite a bit but has settled into being comfortable with his appearance at all times and using his intellect. In X3 they kinda reference his past as an X-Man and how the suit still fits, so it kind of means a little more after having included First Class in the watch. Then we see the OG trilogy and The Wolverine. The Wolverine is kinda important because the mid/end credits flow right into DOFP. Then we see DOFP where you've already seen the First Class crew, and the modern X-Men crew, and the movies are brought together. Logan is the icing on the cake.

Skip all the rest of the movies- the narratives are dumb, JLAW is dumb, the continuity is dumb, especially since the "timeline" changes. I hate some of the changes they made which didn't even make sense. Angel showing up in Apocalypse was dumb- was he supposed to be the same character as in the Last Stand? Originally he didn't show up until The Last Stand, as a young guy, but now he's all of a sudden in Apocalypse in the 80s? Before DOFP changes the timeline in the 1970s, the person who shows up in Apocalypse would have already been alive, so it's not even like you can say DOFP changed when he was born. Either it was a total retcon, or it's not Warren Worthington III. I also didn't like how they portrayed Nightcrawler, he looked like such a doofus. Lots more I could go on about.. just best to skip these movies.

I saw Apocalypse but not Dark Pheonix... would you recommend avoiding it too? (seen all the others)

This - it was awesome finally seeing Lothar on screen and "kid" Khadgar. Really wish we had gotten to see the WC2 plot since that's where I started

There's some research that says relationships that start out as friendships are stronger but I think a lot depends on the type of friendship

Yup. Since grade school. It's never healed fully and has been problematic. I have been on crutch several times now. The ligaments are just weak from multiple recurring injuries. Me used to be 120kg (now 94kg) didn't help either.

But also way too personal I think maybe? Easier to go with this also I'm 854 words in and I've been working on it for a couple hours so idk how well it'd go starting from scratch.

Haha not stalking but a lot of stories in that thread really blew me away. I know the suggestion is pretty late but I always found basing short stories in personal emotionality charged settings made the characters experiences and plot points come out faster, even though I didn't describe the actual experience

As a father of 4, meeting the 30 day deadline for enrollment is difficult even when things go as smoothly as possible. They usually require a certified birth certificate and SSN, which take 3 weeks to process right there. In all of my instances, we had completed everything for enrollment only 2-3 days prior to the deadline. 30 days is way too short of a time for something this monumental and life changing.

Additionally (according to the article) she did in fact call a few days after delivery and was told over the phone that "everything was on track"
