Immediately after surgery you can't do things like get hit in the face or lift heavy objects. They gave me a one page guide that was like, things you should avoid in the first 24h, first week, first month, etc. After enough time's passed you can pretty much do everything again.

I had dry eyes.

I might still have it actually, but I also spend like every waking hour staring at a screen so I'm not sure if it's from that or from the surgery. I just use eye drops twice a day and it's fine.

I'm definitely biased because I'm a Unity developer but Unreal is just, kinda difficult to use. It's so much easier to make something in Unity as a solo developer.

That said, nanite and lumen look really good.

I'm not quite sure what form this will all take first, but I've been slowly fleshing out a few possibilities.

-Animation of Null vs Float using Unreal. I've got an animation of Null trying to steal an item from Floats evil org roughly planned out in time with a song. Next step for that one is storyboarding+animatic

-Twin-Stick Shooter using Unity. This would be a roguelite using an existing topdown engine from the asset store so I dont get too lost in the weeds as per usual. Would try to keep it very small in scope

-VR Environment project in Unreal: Basically just model a scene of the world you can stand in and interact with a few things. Maybe a ship parked at a very gas-stationy refueling station

It's interesting how you're deciding between Unreal and Unity but with different game types. Do you have a background in Unreal but found a nice guide for Unity or something?

Completely not my case, I definitely smelled the burning. Was a mix of like, meat and plastic.

It didn't bother me that much though. Thinking about the surgery is more scary than it actually is. It's over before you know it and it's amazing literally seeing your eyes recover afterwards.

What's your metric on whether or not cards are worth getting graded? Is it just the math between the value of an ungraded card vs the potential value of it being a 9 or 10? Are there other factors too like whether the card is worth more because it's playable or because it's a collector's item? I'd assume graded playables might be less valuable.

There's a lot of things that just won't work on consoles though. Off the top of my head there's..

• The images and text files that get added to your file system
• Monica moving your mouse
• Deleting Monica's character folder

There's a solution for everything I guess, but a solid chunk of the DDLC experience was from the file explorer imo.

I have an A rank for treasures, must've missed too many somehow :( I thought I was thorough!

It's not just treasures, it includes other things like quest rewards and stuff. So like you get points for jump rope, racing Hippaul, Hot and Cold, etc. I managed to lock myself out of it when I played it last year.

Overall good playthrough topic though! I enjoyed reading it. Which one do you think you'll play next?

I liked the game. Wasn't as good as the first one, but that was a really high bar. I liked the first one a lot because it was a relatively simple story that was just very well executed. TLOU2 had an issue where it just tried to do a lot more, which I appreciated, but the execution wasn't as tight.

I get some more frogs for Quina (up to 57 now, I didn't know they respawned!)

You can get them to respawn faster by leaving at least one male and one female frog un-caught. You can tell by the colour of their feet.

I wouldn't say it's bad but it's definitely not as tight as the original. I think a lot of the issues stem from the idea they tried to do too much so it gets too messy.
