My 8 year old loved that movie for a while. She'd dance across the couch singing the songs while she rewatched it for the thousandth time. It's fine.

I never trust that someone knows that they are in a turn lane so if they don't have their blinker going I'm pretty wary of them because I've seen too many people go straight while in a turn lane.

I appreciate that Kimbo. I feel like coming onto my boss isn't the right move, but now that I have power I should go after my underlings since I've got the power dynamic in my favor. Not quite ready to come in drunk though since that is a real problem while operating equipment. No one likes a drunk operator in a dump truck, tractor, loader, salt truck, skid steer, or mower. Well drunk mowing would be fun I suppose...

Bought a house, better at staying on top of my depression/anxiety, run 1000+ miles per year, got a steady girlfriend, married her, became a stepdad, sold a house, bought a much nicer house, and just had a baby girl born.

Mostly I've just gotten better at taking care of shit in my life and being an adult. My personality is mostly the same, other than being a bit more confident with myself.

I used to have a job with a time clock. It was great. The date was at the outer edge so if you didn't push the card all the way back it would only stamp the time, not the date. Whenever I was late I'd just have to be on time the next day. Get an accurate punch for that day, with the date, then wait a minute or two and get a punch for the previous day with the date cut off. Boss never did notice.

I promise you, the people processing the time cards knew your scheme. They just didn't give enough of a shit to bring it up/you haven't been a consistent enough problem to do anything about it.

Not when service calls are involved. If someone buries their piece of equipment or something starts pissing hydraulic fluid we need someone on-site. These guys were not lucky enough to have work from home be an option unfortunately.

Or you clock in at the beginning of the day, go do what you need to do, and show up at the end. Or if there's no clock function, you unlock the doors. Or if you don't unlock the doors or clock in, you send an email saying you're working remotely.

There used to be a time clock, but they shut that down when Covid hit. As for working remotely, not an option for my mechanics because it's hard to wrench on our equipment from home.

I've been a part of this machine too long to be very trusting of anyone or anything around here.

With my union, they are contractually obligated to increase my salary in the mean time which is pretty awesome. And the power has already gone to my head, I'm denying all time off requests!

My boss just retired pretty abruptly and now I'm in charge until we fill the spot. This is weird.

If youre talking about leggings that seems like a perfectly normal thing for a girl to wear.

My sleep schedule has taken a hit and I am feeling it. Sleeping is a huge one to lock down.

Thank god it's Thursday which is my Friday this week. It'll be nice having the next week off!

I think that's mostly true of people that are running ultras and really putting their heart through quite a bit of prolonged exertion. There doesn't seem to be much information on whether there is anything other than benefits towards heart health for more normal levels of running. I'd imagine that less than marathon level is not going to do anything but good for most people's hearts.

And I liked running. So I imagine its worse for those that dont like it.

For me it's normally more like, "This is feeling fine so far, go the extra mile before turning and make it 10." Then I turn and realize the wind was at my back, sun's now in my face, and that I'm going to regret that I didn't end up going another mile and a half to make it a half marathon because 10's close enough I might as well really make it suck.

My sisters old dog used to hide behind the shower curtain when fireworks were going off. I always felt so bad, I'd just lay on the ground and cuddle her.

Running is stupid. Every once in a while you get a run that feels amazing and like you could keep going for miles, but most of the time it feels like I might need to shit in a neighbors yard, my heart may explode, and most definitely my joints are all going to be ground to dust before I hit 50. The only reasons to run is because my dog absolutely loves it, I have to do something active because my wife kicks ass every *clap* single *clap* day, and because it's so much easier to walk out the door and run instead of drive to the gym. The only thing I really like about it is the mental challenge of upping the mileage and ignoring all of my own whining and still getting more done before most people have woken up in the morning.

All in all though, running is dumb. You should never do it again.

Baby is almost three weeks old so about three weeks ago was the last time I got it done.

Yeah but this was one hell of a fuck up while making this movie.

Mental health is a really hard thing to improve on. You've got to want to make changes to yourself and be willing to put in the work and put yourself in uncomfortable situations. It sucks that you've had bad experiences with therapy, but it really is the best way to take those first few steps towards a healthier life. I hope you open yourself up to the experience sometime and that you eventually don't feel so lonely.

Odie is an anxious doofus. He is a bit needy and wants to be getting pets or exercise as often as possible. He's come in from a 14 mile run and then been back at the door because he's worried you're going to go on a walk without him.



He's normally my shadow, but he's been very curious about our little girl since she came home. He'll lay next to wherever she is and wants to sniff her and give her kisses. Gets very concerned when she's crying. He's a very sweet boy



Remi is our puggle mix and is a crotchety old lady. She will let you know when she doesn't like something and is very vocal about it. She also has bad gas no matter what food we've put her on. I love her to death despite being so fucking stinky.

My wife didn't like when I said, "Damn, girl! Look at that dump truck!" Apparently she's not as hip as me and thought that was a bad thing.

Word, I came back once I started working from home a couple days a week in September. Just kind of check this a few times during the day when I'm between tasks and bored.

Why would you do that with Chip? Do you just like being a homewrecker? So disgusted right now.

I was more of a K'nex man myself. Far easier to explain how I slipped and they fell into me when I visited the doc.

oh what? Is that why she stopped her recent posting? Noticed she hadnt been around for a bit. That sucks, because shes one of the better posters here.

Yeah, I can't remember the topic or anything, but she shared her experience with an extremely abusive relationship and someone had some pretty awful takes. I don't blame her for deciding that was enough of PotD for now. Hopefully she returns sometime because she really is a great person who I like to hear from.
