Black people aren't mourning the loss of these black fictional characters from syrup and rice boxes or clamoring for replacement representation on them. They weren't positive portrayals of black people and they're fine left behind altogether, they don't really need to be replaced with new black people, and the companies probably just wanted to move away from the issue altogether rather than risk messing it up again.

If you care about representation in media then fight for more positive portrayals in upcoming movies, books, tv, games, etc. because that's what will really help.

I'm back

I took the pillowcase out with the bucket still in it, because he was trying to climb around the bucket while I was trying to pull the bucket out.

I held the pillowcase shut in my right hand while driving but soon he made it to the top where my hand was squeezing it shut. started prodding my hand and hissed a bit. I stopped the car there and let him out bc I was afraid I'd be startled by him

I let him out in a neighborhood only .87 miles from my apartment but hopefully he won't come back to my place again.

at least that's done.
