I played Eden some more and did die to that third zone boss. I was mad at myself because they had almost no health when they took me out. I'm still on my second run, but I've made it to the fourth zone with plenty of health. Sparing bosses is definitely the way to go.

So the draft runs as smoothly as it possibly, I create a spreadsheet where I create detailed draft plans for all user teams in case I have to draft for them. If I am given a strategy/queue/conditional (especially one that encompasses the entire draft) from a team, then I do not have to waste my time and effort for said team. Please do this as having to come up with draft plans for 22 user teams would possibly take me 10+ hours to do.

KCF has beaten Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

While featuring the same features as previous entries, I found it interesting that they changed up the composition with combat taking a big backseat to platforming and puzzle solving. Because it doesn't have its own multiplayer, I probably would rank it fourth as best in the series, but it could be my second favorite campaign in the series depending on the day.

If I can't or don't want to be here for the draft, what are my options?

Queue - You give me a list of players in order of priority. It can be as few as one and as many as the 250+ prospects that will eventually be in that sheet.

Draft Strategy - You give me a vague or specific set of instructions on how to draft your players. An example of this would be
Draft best available CB in 1st round
Draft best available player in 2nd-4th rounds
Draft best available player for a position of need in 5th-7th rounds.

Conditionals - You give me a list of conditionals. Unlike the other two examples, this one is best used if you only think that you will be unavailable for a single round. Using WR Tyreek Hill as an example:
1. Draft WR Tyreek Hill
2. Draft the best available DE with a 1st round grade
3. Draft the best available player for a position of need

NFL Draft Rules

1. When it is your time to pick, type your selection in the spreadsheet

2. There is a 5 minute pick limit, which starts when I say something along the lines of "X team is on the clock"

3. If no pick has been made after 5 minutes, I will select the player for you

4. If a user is not present at the time they are on the clock, they will be auto-drafted via rule #3 until they notify me of their return

Live NFL Draft

This is a 7-round affair where teams select college players. There are 32 picks in each round for a total of 224 selections overall. We break this down into three real-life days. Rounds 1 and 2 are on the first day, rounds 3 and 4 are on the second day, and rounds 5 through 7 are the final day. The draft takes place in the spreadsheet as that is where all the info is, and I totally failed in my lone attempt to do a draft in both the spreadsheet and Discord.

In one of the posts below, I will include the draft order again as well as updated draft pick ownerships. I only include ownership of other teams' picks. If you wish to attend the draft at all, I require that you own a Google account and either PM/DM me or post here the email associated with it so that I can include you as having permission in the spreadsheet and you can sign in and enter the chat function which is located near the top right of the spreadsheet. Most of you have done so in previous years, but there could be a few people wanting to attend this year but have yet to receive permission. You must be on a desktop/laptop to access the chat function.

I am on Chapter 4 of Lost Legacy, or rather I have been there for a few days now. It is an open-ended one where the map just gives you a general idea and isn't really there to aid you, so I have to be in the right mood to tackle that.

I began One Step from Eden. I'm enjoying it, but I'm really just running around constantly, looking what space my spells will affect, and just hoping that I don't get hit or die. I know this "strategy" is going to be the end of me eventually, but I cleared two zones so far! I didn't know that I could spare the bosses, so I killed the first one, and I meant to spare the second one, but I was trying out my non-attack spells to see if any had any healing effects, but I guess non-attack spells also kill the boss.

What is Game of the Month Club?
Game of the Month is a community project open to all B8ers where users share, discover, play and/or discuss a select few games every month. The games featured each month are chosen by YOU the users (and Lady Luck)

The Basics
- Each month will usually feature three games that were chosen via a random drawing from a pool of games that users nominated
- For each game you beat, you get a cool point on our just-for-fun standings as well as a nomination for next month's randomized drawing
- In order to receive the point and nomination, you must beat said game within the calendar month
- If you beat one of the current month's games in the previous month, you can apply for a "recently beaten waiver," but you will only receive a point and no nomination should you do so
- Drawing for next month's games is usually around a week before the end of the month
- If you periodically keep us posted on your progress and/or talk about different aspects of the games, then everyone will think you are super awesome!

Nomination Rules
- You get one nomination automatically each month
- You receive additional nominations each month for every selected game that you beat
- Each game you nominate has to be unique from all other nominations and cannot include a game that has already been selected for GotM
- Each game must be a standalone game that can be acquired and played on its own (aka cannot be DLC/expansion that requires the base game)

The Pats just lost Hall of Famer Mathias Kiwanuka to retirement. They have perennially had a good-to-elite defense on the backs of a formidable DL. While Freeney is 33 (DL age worse than any other position) and is just an average pass rusher (6.3 sacks per season), he has started 141 games in his career, appears to be an above-average run defender, and is 90 overall, which is high enough to be able to take the incoming sharp aging regression.

The Steelers have cap issues and decided to sell high on Freeney and get a Top 50 draft pick.

Both parties demonstrated that they understood what each team was giving up and receiving, the financial impact, what both parties hoped to achieve, and I have faith that Freeney's history was in the conversation between the two.

Tangentially related, but some of my favorite OSTs I am probably done trying to get songs in personally, whether tentatively permanently or at least for quite some time:
- I got two Dustforce songs in a few years back. They both lost in R1, so while that is disappointing and azuarc admitted to underseeding them, I did get two in, so I'm satisfied to a degree for the time being.
- I have temporarily stopped nominating Bully and Plok songs, but I hope to resume one year. Snowboard Kids 2 might be in this category too.
- I got a PixelJunk Shooter song in once, and it won its first match! Knowing it doesn't really stand a chance at retiring and feeling like I am the only person who loves the songs, I am content with letting that OST go and thinking it was an accomplishment in and of itself just getting it. I'm not expecting InnerSpace to win its first match, but I feel similarly here and will probably move on after its performance.
- I got a second Opoona song in, and it retired. I'm good there.
- I got the only VGMC-viable Aliens Go Home Run song in twice. I really wish it would have retired, but I'm willing to let it go.
- I think that one of the craziest things is that three Outer Wilds songs have gotten in, and I nominated none of them! I had a VGMGG in 2019 about my Top OSTs, and Outer Wilds was my third-ranked OST at the time. While only one of the three songs to have gotten in is in my Top 10 from the OST (Outer Wilds), I don't feel compelled to ever nominate a song (knowing that none will ever likely win a match also played a role).
- I would really love to get a Duck Game and Sudeki song in, and I will probably try them again next year and maybe even try two songs each to put out more feelers (I elected not to nominate Sudeki this year).

Maybe two is a magic number for me.

I don't have a hard, fast personal "rule" when it comes to returners, but I am more inclined to support and nominate songs that have never been in the contests and probably more importantly to me, are from games that have yet to have VGMC representation. Between my noms and supports this year:

- 21 were from games with no previous VGMC history
- 6 were from games that had one other representative in VGMC, but not the one that I nominated/supported
- 2 were former nominations of mine that made one appearance with multiple wins
- 1, depending on your perspective, was in before, but it's a remix that I feel completely changes the tone of the song, among other things

Since bracket construction and voter base determine outcome of the matches, a lot of songs can fall victim to bad luck, so I completely understand giving songs a second or even third chance as I have done numerous times. More than that though, and I know that I have done this once or twice, it can just seem like a waste and deny fresh songs or those looking for a second chance. I know more than most people it can be hard to admit that some songs just don't have a chance (though for me it is more about the nomination period than the actual contest), but I do feel as if the contest quality would improve if more people could just let songs go.

The fact that I got a nom in because of the end rush (or maybe just simply final day is more accurate) is stunning. I know some people would consider 4 noms (as well as eights supports) getting in disappointing, but I'm just happy to get a handful of my noms in each year. If I could be guaranteed to get in four with no possibility of more (and of course less) each year, I would take that deal.

I brought this up in Discord like a week ago, but as a long time member whose VGM interests aren't often in line with the norm, making rules to make it even more difficult for me to get songs I love in will only serve to disenfranchise people like me and further promote group think.

If people want to move the locking deadline to a later date, that is totally fine by me, but increasing the minimum amount of votes or removing the locking system altogether is something I am very opposed to.
