| teep_ 07/14/21 1:40:02 PM #1 | So I'm at the Kaneshiro palace, just about to make my first 'proper' excursion into it. I'll be comparing it to P4G since that's the only other Persona game I've played The game looks amazing. I'm playing it on a Pro with supersampling (my monitor only supports 1080p) but it's still clean and crisp. It oozes style as well. The gameplay is good. I enjoy the QoL stuff added in after 4G, as well as the new stuff like Baton Passes. I also like the negotiations a la SMT The darker tone is something taken from SMT too and I really like that as well. I understand P4G was the outlier and that other persona games are generally darker in tone, but it works really well here. The first time I see a guillotine fusion was brutal Not gonna comment too much on characters or story, for obvious reasons. I am looking forward to seeing where things go and which characters end up being important. One thing I would like to say is that I'm slightly disappointed in yet another high school detective. The visuals are gorgeous and just ooze style, the combat is slick (and may even replace SMT IV as my favourite turn based combat system) and the gameplay is fun. I'm interested in seeing where the story goes The characters aren't as good as P4Gs characters yet, but I'm keeping an open mind since I'm barely into the game --- Stand Proud |
