very rare. Even top movies like Avengers, Harry Potter etc. only had webrips upon thearitical release. Those that were touted as DVD-quality are likely trojans or people deemed it too unbelievable to be trustworthy for downloading

Pirates typically would find a way to get movies well before DVD releases. Guessing TC has never bothered to look. And of course Hollywood is aware of piracy. You think they'll make more money if they go back to restricting releases to theaters when no one is going to theaters? You've thought 0 steps ahead.

no they don't. The most they can get is a webcam version, which still suffers from hard-coded subs or bad video quality.

I have a feeling you haven't tried pirating before

wonder if Hollywood realises this.

whereas in pre-covid, pirates would have to wait months for a movie's DVD release to get a HD ripped version, they can now get one instantly due to streaming services delivered straight to their laptops.
at this point, why even bother subscribing to HBO Max or Disney Plus when you can board the pirate ship, amirite

You never read the comics. She was a Russian spy who defected to SHIELD. SHIELD and Nick Fury often directed missions for the Avengers so she became a liason between the two.

It was the 1970's and the character gave them a James Bondish-spy angle, a Russian angle, a Cold War angle and a SHIELD link.

It still doesn't make sense, especially considering she herself turned against SHIELD during Civil War lmao.

Also if you wanna talk about comics, the original Nick Fury was an elite soldier himself. He might as well serve the very liaison and join the Avengers

People like to mock Batman for being in the JL but at least he has crazy genius level intellect and is the Tony Stark on the DC universe.

Meanwhile what does Black Widow offer? Everytime I watch that first Avengers movie scene where they do a circling camera shot of all the superheroes, I cant help but laugh when I see Black Widow. Here you have a supersoldier, a tech supreme, a giant green hulk, an expert marksmen aaaaaand this woman holding a glock pistol.

It was a key goal in making them. They were literally meant to be able to be viewed by anyone with little knowledge of the previous ones. There are constant fucking 'hey Loki, the brother of Thor!' kinda style shit.

Compare them to the DC movies were you're not 100% sure what's happening
the Marvel ones were 100% clear on how the plot is going to go the moment a new thing is introduced

dude I have no idea what universe you're on. I've lost count on the number of times the MCU indiv. movies makes so many references to the Avengers it's ridiculous.

Black Widow for example takes place right after Civil War and yet the movie doesnt even recap or explain what happened prior

They really tie the hands of the directors. All of the action sequences are designed by Marvel and planned out before the director is even hired

Yeah I dont even know what the directors are needed for. Literally every single MCU superhero movie that isnt the Avengers shares the exact. same. plot. structure.

Like jeez, even Fast and Furious movies or Transformers movies have more plot progression going on compared to the MCU. Literally no one in present ever dies in the MCU and it must must be... a happy ending 24/7 all the way.

I can imagine in the MCU boardroom, the executives must be like

Exec: 'Nope nope nope, you cant kill this character'
Director: 'Oh come on, even this super minor character they'll likely never appear ever again?"
Exec: "Nope! Nope! Nope! Only villains can die!! Death from superheroes make kiddies cry!"
Director: "Can I make the villain smart or powerful at least?"
Exec: "But how can the hero defeat villain then?"
Director: "You see, villains dont always have to be defeated?"
Exec: "Nope Nope! Must defeat villain! Villain always bad. Baaaaad."
Director: "Can I make some scenes gloomy and dark and maybe show some character sacrifices?"
Exec: "Nope Nope! Need more jokes! Need more sunny faces and also be sure to mention the word 'Avengers' at least three times throughout the movie, OK?"

Since when in the world was predictability ever a thing of appeal? The very essence of any good plot is this term, I'm pretty sure you've heard of called 'climax'.

I'm pretty sure you arent going to tell me you ever sat through a MCU movie and ever thought "oh man, I dont think they're gonna make it!"

Forgive my profanity but I really really really am completely puzzled how people are actually enjoying the MCU movies.

The human brain is not even meant to process enjoyment out of such immense predictable repetitiveness. Not to mention the cheesiness, the forced comedic banter between the characters that is necessary to make every single MCU superhero a second-tier joke cracking Spider-man for some reason and how there are NEVER any threatening villains in the series ever since they all get defeated/killed the moment they're introduced in the very same movie (save Thanos, who obviously gets defeated anyway by the Infinity Gauntlet (like wowwww, who could have seen that coming?!!)

I used to be a fan of Captain America, Winter Soldier and the first Iron Man, but these are the few exceptions.

Literally every movie since I've come to realize, is just a rehash over rehash. Like my god, do these directors all have "Always make the movie repetitive as f****" stated in their contracts or something?

I just watched Black Widow and the amt. of stupidity is absurd. Like why the hell did Dreykov just tell all of the Red Room's secrets to Nathasa just like that? I mean, yea I get it you have her under your spell, but you cant even be the least bit a skeptic of what's really going on? Also what kind of idiot keeps access to everything all within one small central console sitting so nicely in the middle of an open wide room?

Secondly, with all the flying vehicles shenanigans going on, you're telling me no one ever detected the Red Room? Not even SHIELD with god knows how many flying vehicles they have hovering everywhere?

Also as per usual MCU habit, the movie MUST have a good ending of course, which is not like I couldnt see it coming from the moment the movie was announced. That's how damn predictable every single MCU movie is. Even Infinity War was predictable as hell. Like wow, Thanos wins. WHO KNEW. Why else is there a part 2 obviously? duh?

Probably to make it seem somewhat relatable for the guys watching.

Also having sex on camera and having it be sold to the public isn't exactly a respectable job in the eyes of most societies. I mean the average guy would definitely want to have sex with JAV girls but ask if they'd be willing to do it on camera and have it be sold? Most respectable guys who care about their image and/or have families and careers would say no. That probably leaves weird outcast men who are willing to do it. I think this might be part of why.

yes I would. Wouldnt you?

edit: also your logic doesnt apply since Japan seems to be the only one doing it with JAV. You'd never see ugly men in porno in other countries. Even Korea has at least handsome enough dudes on their softcore porn most of the time

Your benching strength records does NOT translate into pushup reps AT ALL.

This many pushup reps depends more on your bodyweight fitness and endurance relying on Type 1 muscle fibres than Type 2 fibres. It's less to do with strength than it does with body conditioning

I wouldn't say it's much to do with Netflix. For comedies, I think it was much more to do with the movies coming out in the 2000s that pushed the envelope, like Judd Apatow's movies. For more gore and violence becoming mainstream, that is definitely heavily to do with Game of Thrones.

but most comedies are never blockbusters so they're given a low enough budget to work with. The same happens for horror movies if you didnt realize. These producers can only work with a low budget, which is also how studios like Blumhouse managed to make a killing producing crappy s*** like Paranormal Activities

For more gore and violence becoming mainstream, that is definitely heavily to do with Game of Thrones.

In MCU movies, there's hardly a single drop of human blood. Enemies get mowed down by invisible bullets. Just look at that scene from Civil War where Black Widow even shot someone and he just turned away and dropped to the floor after getting hit. It's so dumb.

Before Netflix (or streaming services in general...), almost all Hollywood blockbusters had to be produced as PG or PG-13. Any higher and the movie studios would fear losing audiences since cinemas actively bar underaged kids. We see this so often. If they went too far, movie producers would be told to tame their films down just to obtain a PG rating, or make censors to their films if the country labelled otherwise. So we had action movies where villians get shot and stabbed without a single drop of blood or just a super tiny bullet hole or something. It was stupid as hell.

But with Netflix and the trend of movie exclusives on streaming services, movie producers no longer have to worry about this. And suddenly we're seeing an influx of blockbuster movies that can now go hell loose regardless of mature ratings.

Snyder's Cut for example, just became R-rated because why not. All the Marvel shows like Daredevil, Punisher and even the latest Falcon and Winter Soldier also became R-rated and daring to push the level of gore.
