That rule probably works super against you in a Sword/Shield Wonderlocke, since I'm sure there's so much level 60 trade fodder from post-game Wild Areas and 5* raids being handed out.

It's actually a bit silly how little focus Gen VIII is getting in the anime so far. Ash doesn't have any of the starters (Goh has two of them), and the only Galar Pokemon he has on his team is a Gen I regional variant. They did just do the Sw/Sh legendary plotline over a four-episode arc though.

I wasn't even looking for a gaming laptop, so having a graphics card capable of playing recent stuff at least to some extent is a nice bonus. It has way better specs than my current one and is actually $50 cheaper than what I paid three years ago. Nervous about only a 256gb storage, but I guess I'll just have to make more use of cloud storage and/or keep a microSD card in it.

Also picked up Trials of Mana and FFXII Switch versions for $20 each also on Best Buy. I've got a $50 Target gift card, but I'm finding their selection really underwhelming. =/

I mentioned this in a Yakuza topic but I've always wanted a street/hood RPG. Its just two things that have never collided

TWEWY was one of the few examples that it ALMOST did that and I loved it for it. Its just ...cool and hip, they clearly have the fashion down

and yea, looks like they still have the magic. I only played the DS version and I've never looked up how to play the Switch or IOS versions but I'm wondering how this'll play. Its all 3D now

The only thing that I sorta dont' like is they don't have the tough guy like Beat. I liked Beat

Not having a trainer rematch feature in every game (which were always much more enjoyable ways to level for me than Elite 4 spam)

Seeing how various trainers across the region improved their teams every time you got a new badge was such an underrated and fun aspect of the games that had it. I remember using a fisherman with three Gyarados or something in the Hoenn games, and I think there was an Eeveelution trainer in Sinnoh that made for good training battles.
