The beat I'm counting is different than the beat the visualizer describes. That's not very surprising, all things considered (and my count doesn't seem to be noticeably falling behind, so maybe it's just a synchroniation issue). After a party, I once found an empty bottle of cold medicine on the counter. It seemed that somebody was robotripping, even though we didn't play this song that night (though I have played the Merciless Savior in the past). It works, so I can't complain. I strongly suspect that there are songs from this game that I'd like better, and not just because it's PMD and of course I'll find stuff I really love. I don't really know how to explain it. Even if I had zero idea about anything in the series, I'd be able to tell based on this that there'd be things I'd *personally* like more, regardless of their overall quality and popularity. It's a really visceral vibe. The song itself is pretty good, the type that, even if it's not a favorite, I'd be ok with it beating something I like a lot more. It *feels* like it deserves it.
