| The_Scarecrow 08/15/20 8:00:06 AM #159 | Well, I tried out the beta last night for a few hours. From my first impressions, it was fairly mediocre. The beta is a technological mess that I hope doesnt carry over into the actual release. There are a lot of performance issues. The motion blur is among the worst Ive ever seen in any video game. The camera shaking is annoying. The beta itself is riddled with bugs and glitches not to mention it can crash or overheat your console even if youre sitting the menu doing nothing. FPS is laughably bad on consoles. The more characters fighting on screen, the worse the game runs. I hope none of these issues are present at launch but people are already turned off after experiencing these problems. The gameplay itself is just okay. Everything character plays the exact same in the beginning but they do grow into their own roles after you grind them out for a bit. I hope mission variety is more diverse in the actual game because it was a lot of the same structure in the beta which is not good. Personally, I couldnt see myself playing this for more than a few hours without succumbing to boredom. The beat em up gameplay is fairly mindless but you do have to pay attention on the hardest difficulty. Speaking of difficulty, try to have a squad of people if youre going to play the harder missions. The A.I. cannot handle aggro or large crowds of enemies at all. The loot aspect of this game didnt feel rewarding. It doesnt help that visually speaking, the game doesnt look super so the appeal of many of the skins is lost on the player which is a big deal since thats part of the driving force of the game. Its not Spider-Man PS4 or Batman Arkham where I want to traverse the world since it looks cool. Everything in this game just looks generic and soulless. The narrative presented so far is silly. The Avengers have been disbanded by the public over what is clearly a sabotage. Now, Inhumans are running around uncontrolled and you would think the Avengers would be perfect for maintaining peace but Marvel citizens have always lacked intelligence. You can also tell how dated this games story is given how Marvel tried pushing Inhumans as the replacement for mutants a few years ago but it never caught on because nobody likes Inhumans. Lastly, the roster itself is a little lacking. This definitely needs more interesting characters as the base roster feels like its desperately trying to cash in on MCU hype too late. Ms. Marvel serves as the players window into this world but her annoyance has no limits especially since shes almost constantly in fangirl mode. Id also like to point the mistake of getting popular voice actors for this game. I dont hear Bruce Banner, Natasha Romanoff, or Tony Stark. I hear Troy Baker, Laura Bailey, and Nolan North. Ultimately, I would wait to buy this game. Let more content and characters become available first then make the purchase. --- Batman's greatest villain. |

Now, cases have been spiking recently in the area. There are also still large gatherings without anyone wearing masks. Hell, I know one guy who was wearing a mask when hanging out with his group of friends and they peer pressured him into taking it off. Calling him a coward for being scared of the virus. It doesnt even surprise me considering how on my social media feed, people keep downplaying the virus and calling it a hoax even to this day. --- Batman's greatest villain. |

Be prepared for some poorly written story segments and plenty of down time but other than that, it's a fairly enjoyable game. I personally don't like to commit to plans right away as sometimes, the day of the event comes and I'm really not feeling it but it's shitty to cancel at the last minute. So, I go and not enjoy myself as much as I'd like to. I'll think about it for a few hours before giving an answer. It's only annoying when people use it as a way of saying "I'm waiting to see if something better comes along" or "I'm waiting to see if my other friends are doing anything". What annoys me are the people who call you and try to make plans the day of. I'm not just sitting around all day with my dick in my hand doing fuck all. I usually plan out how my day is going to go either the night before or in the morning instead of making it up as I go. I set aside time to exercise, cook, attend classes, do homework, study, and enjoy my hobbies. I try to stick to a schedule so that I don't procrastinate and fuck up on the things that actual matter like doing well in school. --- Batman's greatest villain. |

I think there are rumors of that happening anyways. There is still an audience for Castlevania given the success of Bloodstained, Hollow Knight, and so on. Many people nowadays want to become rappers and it's a lot easier to make a rap song compared to other genres of music so the entry level is low. I personally know well over a dozen people from my graduating high school class making rap music and trying to earn a living by doing so even though almost all of them do not have any skill or talent. With the age of Soundcloud, I imagine it's like this with today's youth in many communities. Now more than ever, young people are chasing the dreams of being a rapper, influencer, streamer, etc. --- Batman's greatest villain. |

I get that I'm one of 6 whole people that own a Wii U, but the Switch is really just coasting by one a few big exclusives and just a ton of Wii U ports. I am enjoying, however, the amount of cooperative games I can play with my wife like Let's Go Pikachu! and 51 Clubhouse Games. I wouldn't say the Switch is coasting off of that what you mentioned but you are correct in the sense that the Switch is feels like a middle finger to Wii U owners. With the best Wii U games being available on the Switch, there's no reason to own the console unless you decide to mod it. I don't think anyone can deny it's been a petty lousy year for the Switch unless you're an Animal Crossing fan. The virus isn't an excuse anymore especially when the president of Nintendo came out and said games slated for this year would still be on schedule. Yet, as far as we know, there's fuck all from now until the end of October with the next major release being another full priced port. Compare that to this time last year where we had Astral Chain, Dragon Quest XI S, Daemon x Machina, Link's Awakening, Ring Fit Adventure, and Luigi's Mansion 3 to look forward to. --- Batman's greatest villain. |
