Your statement is accurate for most of them, we have stories from reporters who were following them expressing the confusion and shock some of them had once they got in, surprised at how easy it was and unsure what to do next.

That wasn't all of them however, as time has gone on we've gotten more video and information that makes it very clearly some of them had a plan and had a general idea where they were going. There were people there for the purpose of assassinating our elected politicians.

No matter how mild the conspiracy theory we need to remember these are sick people who are capable of doing horrific things because they are out of touch with reality.
