Well, a lady in Brisbane caught the UK COVID off a person in hotel quarantine, so the entire city is entering a 3 day lockdown from 6pm tonight while they do contact tracing. Can only leave for groceries, care for someone, work (if you can't work from home) or 1 hour exercise. Masks mandatory.

She caught the train to our two central stations in the CBD while infectious and masks haven't been worn in Brisbane as it's been 113 days since we had community transmission.

My wife struggled a fair bit during lockdown because shes a social creature but I actually felt happier and healthier during it.

I've never met anyone irl who requested I call them by a specific pronoun, or even someone online. I've seen plenty of twitter profiles with gender pronouns in them but just randoms, nobody I actually know

Leave home for only 5 reasons:

1. for work, if people cannot work from home, such as those in the construction sector or key workers
2. to shop for necessities such as food or medicines
3. to exercise once per day at a local location. This can include with one other person from outside someone's household or support/childcare bubble
4. to provide care or help to vulnerable people
5. to attend medical appointments, get medical care or a coronavirus test, or to flee the threat of harm or violence.

This was similar to Victoria's lockdown of 112 days through August-October last year.

Not necessarily. You might use them if saying anything makes you guilty of another crime. Also, you aren't under any obligation to help investigators build a case against you. They have to prove you're guilty, you don't have to help. Although that tends to be more an issue in police interviews, not a court room.

I'm watching Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich on Netflix and when they ask him certain questions in his deposition, he says he will assert his fifth amendment rights, and googling, that means you don't have to answer legal questions if the answer will incriminate yourself.

Australia didn't get anything but up until a week ago we had 1 active case but there's been a small outbreak in a state again so back up to 120, but every other state has closed their borders to them
