Also Rin isn't really particularly mean. More often she's just sarcastic. Wouldn't call her an adventurer either, plus she's the heir to quite a bit of money (she lives in a mansion she owns).

They did a rework of the leveling so that the main quests give more XP. You'll fall behind twice in the 40s, still, but before there was a lot more grinding.

It's better to play other classes on the same character for the most part since you get more XP.

Generally you want to do most of the side quests with + signs, with some exceptions. Like, probably skip the ones that unlock other classes (So you want to be a -).

Dancing Mad, Last Battle (FFIX), The Extreme, and Ultima (FFXIV) are all really great. OWA is excellent too, though it suffers from its sound quality. The orchestral version is a big improvement there. Would probably rank The Extreme #1 overall, though Ultima's my current favorite since it's more fresh.

Maybe individually, but I can't think of any who were waifued as often as her.

Probably because she's the first female main character, haha. Eirika and Micaiah aren't as popular in general.

Doom Eternal has a scientist woman who's obsessed with how powerful and manly the Doom Slayer is. She might just be in the audio logs though, can't remember if she ever appears on screen.

You lose access to some social systems with the trial. The biggest one is probably that you can't buy stuff from the marketplace, so you won't be able to buy some OP items you shouldn't have access to early. It's not a big deal though, since you get much better gear than you used to playing normally anyway.

Note that if you want to play the free trial, I don't think you can buy the game beforehand. Not even sure you'll be able to get the free trial if you've played in the past, but it depends on the account you use I guess? The free trial is for unlimited time and contains the original game and the first expansion, which is a bit more than half the existing content - probably 120-150 hours worth if you just do the main quests and the important sidequests for one class.

Buying the game will come with one free month. I was able to play all the existing main story and main quest content for one class in a bit under two months back in August-September, though I played a lot (around 300 hours), so I ended up paying for one subscription month. It'll take a lot longer if you try to do all the side quests, but the generic sidequests generally aren't that interesting (the game marks a difference between important sidequests and generic ones, though even some of the important ones can be skipped, like the early ultimate weapon quests, since they just give you gear that will be obsolete before you even get it, haha).

FFVI's rocks. Helps that it was the first FF I got into. Has a real good victorious feel to it. Some of the later FFs go more 'chill' than 'fist-pumping' I think, which I'm less into for a victory theme.

Decided long ago that I want the Dusk trilogy to be my entry point to the series but the pricing on these games is bananas. They almost never go on sale and this group of three ~9-year-old games being $90 is beyond absurd.

Just buy them one at a time instead of all at once.

Some of the patches muddy it I think. Like do you count Nidhogg or Elidibus? Because theyre kind of the final bosses of those arcs.

Regular boss: FFVI maybe? IV (Boss Battle 2) and VII are also great, as is XIII. And I like Limit Break! from FFXIII-2 a lot, though I know it gets a lot of hate <_<.

Special: Looks like final bosses aren't being counted here? Fierce Battle from FFVI is one of my favorites, or Clash on the Big Bridge. Does Dark Messenger count since it's the second last boss? Seymour Battle from FFX also great. J-E-N-O-V-A still a fav. FF rules for boss battle music.

I like Conquest's story a lot, but that might be because I enjoy stories where the protagonist makes real bad decisions. I dunno. I'd definitely say it has the best story of the three.

And I like it as a Fire Emblem game, too. It's not my favorite, but there are several I'd rank behind it.

Breaking the cycle and having faith in humanity/aliens to not destroy themselves is the hopeful ending to me. Control and Synthesize are both endings where Shepherd doesn't believe in humanity.

Demeter is universally useful, for being good on multihit weapons and also having a solid attack bonus.

You get a real cool conversation with Garrus about it in ME3. I never got the impression that the game wanted me to go any other way - it was just a different choice you could make.

Killing people in earlier games to make them not appear in later games is much worse, of course, but ME3's the last game in the trilogy so it didn't have that problem.

Killing Mordin is the most emotional moment in ME3! It's an amazingly well-written moment with great consequences.
