Currently chilling (downtime) listening to Jeff Rosenstock. Kinda vanished for a year or so from GameFAQs so I doubt many recognize me.

There are tons of bike races ranging from long distance to short cyclocross. Strava can even make solo activities (hiking, skiing, etc) competitive but it's not like legitimate medals. On the simple side there's getting into marathons running and stuff like that.

They were extremely popular when I was in high school but I decided to go against them after I had my first while tired and it just made me feel like a total zombie but with bad anxiety.

Its pretty bullshit people dont pick up hitchhikers anymore really

My roommate got picked up yesterday after throwing his thumb out as he missed the bus. It was some friendly dad and his two sons. Though he had a bunch of ski gear so I'm guessing people are more willing to give a ride if you're into the same activities as them.

I would've gotten one of these if they weren't discontinued. Consumer society is so stupid. The most reliable and tried hybrid platform in semi-wagon form is the ultimate economic transport.

Absolutely agreed. I don't expect the majority of consumers to think the way I have about it given the strong demand for crossovers, suv and trucks in the U.S. The plan is to keep this for a long while and hopefully at some point the price on electric vehicles will have dropped enough to become a reasonable purchase for me. Most of the more affordable electric vehicles at this point lack active cooling, charging infrastructure and the range I want for a cross country trip.

Toyota reliability aside, there are a lot of parts also throughout the western hemisphere for the Prius as it was sold in almost every country. In Mexico it was the second best selling car for years as well so taking it across the border and beyond is a non-issue. I personally feel like I'm literally burning my money when buying fuel and staying in hotels, so this is a good fit for me for now.

It's not just the website unfortunately, they have tracking cookies on tons of websites across the internet, outside of the handful of sites they've aquired.

But yeah, I'm in agreement.

2015 Prius with about 60k... Planning on tinting the windows after accepting shipment. I went with the wagon for the extra space for snowboard, skiing and other gear. Bonus, this is probably the least I've ever spent on comprehensive insurance coverage. The wagon is around 50% more space with a 2mpg hit, still a solid 44mpg.

Also I can be a weirdo and skip the hotel on long solo drives across the country (back east), instead opting to pass out in the car (rest areas) with climate control in ready mode at the cost of 1/2 gallon of gas per 8 hours because it's just a generator on wheels and the engine rarely kicks on. The rear is about 7' of flat area from the back of the front seats to the back hatch. Just tall enough to maybe feel like a coffin for some, but my cheap ass can deal lol.

To be real my priorities are more important than a relationship and the compromises that come with it for now. If I find someone I jive with well that has the same priorities (unlikely) then I'll roll with it.

There's free bus service in my county to all the towns so I'd spent the better part of three months taking the bus. Long story short I financed a car yesterday and I'm having it shipped here on Friday. I'm pretty sure this is the second longest period of time in my adult life without a personal vehicle and it was a little maddening not being able to pick up and go places on my own schedule.
