TopicDo you purchase roadside assistance insurance?

I ended up purchasing Good Sam roadside for my car tonight. Their top plan is about $40 more than the top AAA plan in my region, but given the two tire replacements per year (cost of repair or new tire included), 500 mile tows and coverage in Mexico, which I plan to visit later this year probably it's worth it. It also has all the basic things like emergency fuel delivery and lockout coverage. They currently are offering it at around half price for presidents day. Yes, the company is geared towards old RVers and retirees but from everything I've read in the policy itself it's solid.

i have USAA, have only had to use it twice, once was for a real tow, I don't remember if there was a limit on it.

Probably something I don't really need but it's nice to have. Plus I know towing can get expensive, so I'm probably balancing out how much I pay with how much I use it.

Its definitely important to know the policy terms beforehand. I know if I'd been stranded outside of any major metropolitan area with my previous coverage I'd have probably had a fat bill for towing, anyways.

it comes with my insurance. I probably would pick some up if it didn't tho.

I think I once had it through progressive or the general and after I read the policy I realized the towing limit was a useless 5 miles. I'm sure some car insurance plans offer better coverage, though.

What service and tier do you use?

If you go through your insurance, is the coverage pretty terrible? (5 mile tows, etc)

Eh, I found this on weedmaps.

Does Alcohol Help Cleanse the Body for a Drug Test?
It is a myth that alcohol can help cleanse the body or fat cells of THC. At best, alcohol is known as a diuretic, which means it will help a person excrete more urine than one would otherwise. Research shows alcohol could prolong the detoxification of the body because alcohol has been found to further dehydrate the body. Currently, there is no research that suggests alcohol can cleanse the body any faster than drinking water or liquids over the course of a week.

Honestly though IDK no references on this weedmaps article.

I'll be going back to button ups and khakis soon which was a common thing for me after highschool, but over the past few months I've just been rocking hoodies with jeans, very basic. In early HS we had JNCO and giant fila / band shirts. Late highschool was band t-shirts and zip off cargos that were pretty baggy but not like JNCO levels of baggy.

I'm good with android lately. Picked up a Moto G Power from Google Fi and it's never laggy, the battery lasts 2 1/2 days with an acceptable 6.4" screen for a fraction of the price.

I guess I could go back to Apple but it's kind of like throwing my money into a burning trashcan.

I wish more vehicles came in that dark forest green. I opted for a neutral grey but I would have went with a dark green instead if it were available. Also from what I've heard insurance rates are pretty low for green vehicles.

That's not really practical for me, but if I lived in the city or something I would.

Ah yeah even where I'm at it's a car that I would hesitate to drive during some of the snow storms out here. Luckily for now I just walk to work so I plan to drive when it's mostly nice out and the roads aren't in conditions that require chains.

I'm fairly sure it would be fine 95% of the time, but why risk the 5% if it's not needed is my thinking.

2015

Not sure. I always keep the display showing how many miles I have left in the gas tank. But I'll be driving it for a while.

I'm looking forward to the day when people can buy used electric vehicles for well under 10k.

Same, I've heard 2015 is the best year for that gen from multiple sources, also the last year. I'm sure some more desirable electric vehicles will be hovering around 15k on the used market at some point in the next 5 years at least.10k would be nice though.
