Kroger had everyone trained as a cashier and had a computer system in place that would look at the line times and would pull people from sections to work cashier if it was busy. It was the most backwards system ever. There were multiple times I would be the only person working produce and I would get called to be the cashier. All to save on the labor cost of at or around minimum wage employees Self scanning was inevitable and sucks. Ps it was one of the busiest krogers in the country and produce alone would do 100k+ a day --- |
