Alright, say you have a product. Your market research shows that there are 10,000 buyers, so you produce 10,000 units. (I know this isn't how the numbers would work but lets keep it simple).

So launch day happens, surprise! scalpers come, buy 70% of what was intended for the buyers, and now the consumer base is mad because they can't buy the product.

SO, product 2 comes out. for simplicity sake lets keep the demand at 10,000 buyers. This time however you produce 20,000 units to deal with scalpers.

In this case lets say the same number of scalpers exist and they buy 7,000 units. the 10,000 customers still get theirs due to the excess units. However, not only are there still 3000 unsold units, but those 7000 units scalpers bought get returned. your product is now filling every shelf and nobody else wants it. Next thing you know, your product is on clearance everywhere.

Eventually product 3 comes out. You aren't sure if you should produce 10K units to meet the 10K customers, or 20K to account for scalpers. You play it safe and go for 15K units.

market research shows 10K people want your product, but scalpers don't touch it this time, and a decent percentage of the actual buyers hold off for the overstock clearance.

A brand new console would never go on clearance.

Most people start a school grade at one age and end it on another. It's obvious the statement was crafted intentionally "we met 7 years ago" because they didn't want to say 8 years ago and make it a 28 y/o meeting a 17 y/o. It's still weird that They claimed to have met "several years ago", 7 to be exact in school through "mutual friends" as the segment made for a heartwearming story but people did an investigation and realized she was his 17 y/o STUDENT at the time!!

I'm not sure how deep you can expect the producers to dig into their lives, but I do think it's weird to bring on people with an 11 year gap in age claiming to have met in school.

I think the bigger question is how anybody can take the comments claiming she was his student and met in his classroom seriously without any actual proof.
