No many deaths where I live and 99% are still elderly in old folks care homes.

These people were older but not all elderly. Some had preexisting conditions or were very overweight.

It will soon be 7 although this man is very old and would probably be going anyway. Also, another person is on a ventilator but she is actually showing improvement. My niece is a nurse at that hospital and told me a few weeks ago not one of their patients that have been put on a vent has survived.

There are still people that live where I live who swears it is a hoax or "just the flu."

I used to feed every stray cat around along with mine under our porch. One night it was raining so I just kinda squatted down to put down the food. I put it out, petted each one on the head then one lifted its head and looked at me and I noticed the white stripe down its back....

Closest thing was that while working in the hospital I saw a woman who after a D&C she put a tampon in because of bleeding. Well it because of her cervix being dialated the tampon actually went into the cervix and it tore in half (the tampon) and a chunk basically set up. Cue three years later she was showing sign of toxic shock. They scan her and see her uterus had accumulated fluid. Well during the extraction of said uterus doing a hysterectomy it ruptures sending what looked like tar and cottage cheese and smelled like roadkill in the summer bloat. I quit after that. Nope I takes a strong person to be a nurse and that wasnt me that day.

I am surprised the woman did not die of sepsis before that. That is horrible, sad and scary.

I'm not ready to go but then that probably the way most people think. I do believe in an afterlife but when I was younger I didn't. It wasn't fear that took me there, it was just really thinking over it, back and forth, over the years. I worry most about leaving my loved ones and them being sad. I don't want to suffer.

I took care of my terminally ill mom for 8 years in my home and she died this past Saturday and the funeral is tomorrow. I was with her, alone, in her bedroom as she breathed her last. It was a pain free death but I miss her terribly and don't know what to do with myself. I am so mentally drained. I don't want my kids to gel this way when I go.

Nope. I do all my shopping online and my grocery is pickup. I have never gone shopping when Black Friday was the traditional time. You know, back preCovid. I never understood the wanting to but other women I worked with treated it like an exciting sporting event.

Wal Mart is doing online Black Friday sales but I haven't seen anything interesting.

I'm not too concerned for either.

I live out in the country with a lot of land, and don't go into town much. We have easily a years worth of food plus a lot of livestock. On top of that we have a decent amount of staples like toilet paper stored.

I got mine a few weeks ago. When I was teaching the health dept would come to the schools and you could get it if you wanted. The health dept had an outside, drive up clinic so it was still pretty convenient for my son and I.
