I really should go back and catch up with Doctor Who. It's not like I didn't enjoy it, it was just a pain in the ass when it seemed like I would get 6 episodes a year

I think the last episode I saw was one of the Christmas specials, I think when Matt Smith switches, or maybe it was with the War Doctor? I can't remember. But Matt Smith was my last Doctor besides the one he changes into the new one

I marathonned the series on the lead-up to series 11. I would say that series 7, the one where Matt Smith goes, is probably Moffat's best season - coming from someone who didn't like a lot of what Moffat did as a showrunner. Peter Capaldi's seasons feel like a bit of an identity crisis imo. No hate for Peter Capaldi himself, his first episode in particular was spectacular - but his character changes so much and is reworked every season, and ultimately his run ended up being my least favorite stretch of the show. Like, series 12 has one of my least favorite episodes of the revival, and even then it's head and shoulders above Capaldi's seasons imo.

I'd recommend starting from the first revival series and making your way through, if you've got the time.

Not like the Wii/DS games from back in the day, either. Apparently it's a full-scale puzzle exploration game with the Thirteenth and Tenth Doctors. They're making a follow-up to the VR game, and it's gonna be on all platforms. Apparently it'll even be on the Switch, but I'm gonna wait a bit longer before I take that as fact.

I'm pretty excited. Call me a basic bitch, but the Tenth Doctor is one of my favorites and even with the material not being the best throughout Jodie Whittaker's run, I really enjoy her take on the character. These might be my favorite two Doctors, and they're going to be in a fucking console-quality release. I'm so excited.

FF16 looks more like a standard single character action RPG. IDK what the fuck they were going with for FF15 but it didn't work.

FF15 with 7:R's gameplay would have been good. As it stands, I see 15 as a later-stage development on the way to 7:R - like the Wii U of the family.

My understanding is that this was their take back when Final Fantasy XIII was new. For what it's worth, I think they finally hit that mark of quality with FF7:R, and I can only imagine how FF16 is gonna feel if they refine this system further - but it took the entirety of the 2010's for them to get to this point.

There's still room in the world for turn-based combat, though.

Why move around the map when you do all the same JRPG shit in menus? It's like the movement of a tactical RPG with the functionality of a traditional JRPG - the former is basically useless.

Legit, if you want to see Breath of the Wild done poorly, check out Yonder: the Cloud Catcher Chronicles or whatever. I picked it up because I was digging an open world experience and I was done with Zelda, and... it's not good. It's an impressive indie effort, but I really didn't like it.

imo, the point of the game is to get lost in nature. It's like sitting in the grass and watching the clouds go by - that serenity is the point of the game.

I like Hyrule Warriors a lot because of how busy it is, and I like BotW because of how quiet and peaceful it is. Fair enough if you're not into what BotW was going for, but I love what it was going for and I think it nailed it.

Considering the fuckwits that other users post about on CE, in the vein of Ben "a wet pussy is a symptom of a health problem" Shapiro and Jordan "eating plants in my all-meat diet gave me hellish hallucinations" Peterson, I didn't have high hopes for this video.

This might be misinformation. What if someone isn't adequately notified about the circumstances, and thus doesn't realise they've been laid off because they were never fucking told? The absence of notice shouldn't be used as notice itself.

Without a letter of termination for every person who's laid off, or at least a company-wide announcement of departments getting axed, there will be people who fall through the cracks and don't realise that they've been fired. I feel like there has to be a law dictating how employees are notified of layoffs or mass firings.

Either worker's rights in America are genuinely that eroded, and companies can give people notice by not giving them any notice at all, or this is a troll job from someone who can barely wipe their own ass.
