I'll have to figure out how to get the clip off my PS4, but I started playing Fall Guys yesterday and I got my first win today on Jump Showdown. I had 4 finals in a row but only managed to win one of them. 2 other losses on Jump Showdown and a loss on Hexagone. I don't quite have the rhythm yet on slow jumping.

I've been trying to emulate the pro strats I've seen on streams with mixed success. There are some techniques that I think I'm just going to fail miserably for some time until I get more opportunities to practice, like the hammer jump on Slime Climb, but I'm pretty excited by this game.

This is a complete misrepresentation of my position. People being murdered is obviously worse than property damage. The latter, however, is still wrong, and I completely reject the notion that the property damage opposes the murder.

No, we're trying to make a "cops should not be so quick to fire their guns" issue out of it.
or "cops should have much less discretion about when they are allowed to fire their guns" issue.
or "cops should not all HAVE guns as a default" issue(see other countries where only specific SWAT units carry firearms).

And the fact that cops have so much discretion on how to react means that their own innate biases are free to consistently affect the way similar situations play out.

Because cops aren't trained to ALWAYS shoot or ALWAYS hold their fire. They are trained to decide in the moment what to do. And that amount of agency gives them the ability to claim that they feared for their lives. And it sure seems like cops are much more often to fear for their life when the person (who MIGHT have a gun) is black.

The article says they didn't detain him when he was trying to surrender because they were rushing to the scene to help the hurt and didn't realize what he was doing in their rush I believe.

And I don't know enough about the specifics as far as the officers interaction with rittenhouse and their relative proximity to his victims.

But the phrase "trying to surrender" keeps coming up. If he was actually in the process of turning himself in, how difficult would it have been to leave someone to cuff him and read him his rights while the victims were being medically assisted?

No two situations are going to be exactly the same, but it's hard not to contrast this level of not-seeming-too-concerned-about-arresting-white-person-with-gun versus the i-feared-for-my-life-when-black-man-adjusts-belt mentality that feels like a get out of jail free card.

Maybe you should tell the real story.

With frame-by-frame analysis you can say that MAYBE Tamir Rice was POSSIBLY reaching for his waistband to pull out what MIGHT have been a gun.

But in reality he was shot without sufficient time to ascertain any of that. The cops pulled up much faster and closer to him than they needed to, they LIED about saying that they told him to drop the weapon from their car as they were approaching (in reality the window was still rolled up) and even if they HAD ACTUALLY told him to drop his weapon, how would he have done so without first reaching for it?

Please do not point to Tamir Rice of all things as a situation where the cops did anything correctly.

How much do you think payroll tax is?

Further, how capable do you think your average person is of being smart enough to actually put that towards investments or savings and not just buy more stuff because they have 6% more income?

Joe Rogan is like how water takes the shape of it's container.

He will occasionally have GOOD people on his podcast and he will appear to agree with them and it's a good thing that his platform helps to give them a voice.

But then he also has BAD people on his podcast and agrees with them too, or he makes it clear that his own preferences slant towards awful on a variety of topics.

Ever since the beginning of July I went from receiving maybe 1 Trump Email a week to TEN trump emails a DAY and they have become increasingly unhinged.

I also love how the emails themselves contradict themselves from e-mail to email. Harris never struck me as a very genuine person during the debates. It always felt like she was trying too hard to deliver a debate-winning sound byte at the cost of displaying actual mastery of the topics being debated. Also a literal former district attorney as VP does not instill me with confidence that police reform will be addressed is a meaningful way.

But I hope she proves me wrong and Biden/Harris is still significantly more palatable than Trump/Pence so it's not like my vote was in actual jeopardy.

For example having a staff of psychiatrists and counselors who can respond to domestic disturbance type situations. If a married couple are shouting at each other so much that their neighbors call the police it is probably more useful to introduce a trained counselor as opposed to a random "person with gun".

There are of course still going to be circumstances where an armed response is necessary, but there are many situations where that can be removed from the equation.

The emotional counter argument is "now all the bad guys are going to know that most cops aren't carrying guns so they will just SHOOT them!!!1!", but in places where these systems have been implemented that has been found to not be true. It's the same as the "if you ban guns then only the BAD GUYS will have guns" argument, when the statistics prove that gun violence across the board will be greatly reduced.

I personally enjoy parks and rec more.

I see the appeal to both, but I find that most episodes of The Office have a cringe heavy "michael scott" moment that I would just as soon skip. And season 1 leslie has her moments, but parks and rec found it's footing early on and it's a great ride every time I go through it. There are multiple episodes of the office that I simply can't stomach anymore.
