And since regular season games don't carry as much weight as a regular season NFL game, you can only really choke in the regular season in the NHL if you give up like a goal from behind center ice to tie or win the game. Won the division <i>fourteen times in a row</i> (1994 season was cancelled mid season for the strike). Out of all that they only had one title to show for it (out of 5 WS appearances in the 90s), they were a team that definitely should have won more. That 1996 WS collapse was particularly agonizing and then the infield fly in 2012 was hilarious. Like I said, there are cities and franchises that are more inept but I can't think of any that chokes the way they do. Though the Chiefs definitely have their own history. But 28-3 is something that will never be topped. Even back in 1980 when the Falcons went 12-4 and got the #1 seed and had a 24-10 lead after 3 quarters only to be outscored 20-3 in the last quarter to go one and done in the playoffs. They've blown 3 TD leads to Jay fucking Cutler. They nearly blew a big lead to Seattle in the playoffs, only to actually blow their big lead in the next round to the 49ers. They had 1st and goal at the 4 to knock off Philly in their SB year only to fail to score. There is a litany of games under both Mike Smith and Dan Quinn where the Falcons somehow lose. They once threw a TD to go up 1 point at the end of a game (against the Chiefs actually) and then when they went for 2 to push the lead to three, they end up throwing a pick that gets returned to give the Chiefs 2 points, and they end up losing that game because of it. There are teams that are more historically inept for sure but I can't think of anyone that consistently finds new and innovative ways to lose games and blow leads. Add to the fact that other Georgia sports don't fare much better. The Braves should have won more titles in the 90s but they kept falling short. Hawks get the #1 seed and had a long playoff streak going but never doing anything of note. Atlanta has also had 2 NHL franchises come and go. UGA football hasn't won a title since 1980 and have had their own epic choke jobs despite elite talent coming in year after year. My god. Those poor fans. I had to get rid of my old tabby Yolanda when I went to live with my grandparents for a bit because Gran wasn't about cats. It broke my goddamn heart but I had to do what I had to do but I made sure she was in capable hands. I still remember her seeing a roach on the ceiling, and she went up the stairs right where it met the ceiling, wiggled her ass, and then leapt and scratched it from the ceiling and when she landed pounced on it, then picked it up and laid it at my foot. Was so goddamn proud of her :'( I was petless for a while. My gran is mostly fine with dogs for whatever reason so long as they're not hers. The way I got Delilah was she was a pup in a litter than one of my cousins dogs had. After they had grown a little bit one day I went to visit and I was sitting down smoking a cig in a chair. I'll never forget the moment but the whole litter was playing together outside while I was visiting. And then she came up to me and looked up and laid her head on my foot. And then later in that same day when I was inside sitting on the floor inside she once again broke away from the litter and looked up at me and then came laid her head on my knee (I was sitting Indian style). And it just fucking made my heart melt and I had to have her. At that point she had basically chose me. Like it had to happen. If I try to grab it and clip it she goes wild and starts struggling. I get like maybe a couple of them done at a time and it becomes a day to day ordeal until i get them done right. And she has seizure problems and it breaks my goddamn heart when I see her have them. She doesnt have them often, it's been a year and a half since her last seizure but I'm really scared of sedating her to get her nails clipped because I don't want it to trigger something with her.
