I tend to smoke whenever I drive, though on the weekends if I get out I don't *have* to smoke, I just kind of enjoy having one or two when I get out and it doesn't have to be in the car. And then at work sometimes something happens and I just need a break to clear my head. Also thanks! Patty_Fleur posted... What makes it so addicting? I've never tried. So, the first time I smoked was when I was 19. I was "smoking" for a week or two but then my coworker pointed out I wasn't actually inhaling. When I *did* inhale for the first time, it felt crazy. I'd never drank or done any drugs so I didn't know what being buzzed/high felt like, and this felt awesome. I just felt really relaxed, I couldn't just "freely" move my limbs, I had to consciously make an effort to move and stuff, there was this calming feeling in my brain. And then for the next couple of weeks whenever I smoked I still kind of had that experience, but the sensation was duller and duller every time until I just got an anxiety/weird grating feeling in my head if I didn't smoke. So ironically, smoking calms the nerves and anxiety that is caused by the smoking addiction itself -_-. What I don't understand: When I'm at home I don't think about it at all. Maybe if I've done a lot of housework and want to relax I'll burn one. But other than that I feel fine. When I'm at work, however, if I haven't smoked for a couple of days then I start to feel this somewhat painful foggy feeling in my brain and I can't concentrate and I feel tired. So, I'm kind of curious if I'll feel that again when I go back to work next week.
