From my thread soliciting opinions on what the worst part of Star Wars is, I have assembled this list of sixty-four (again, main nine only). The winning moment will have the dubious honor of receiving CE's official Worst Moment Ever George Lucas award.

Every moment that wasn't something like "all of X movie", or "any scene with Y" was included, even if I didn't necessarily agree. Doing my best to avoid injecting bias into the process.

(With apologies to everyone who posted after post #100 - the thread literally purged as I was recording the results, so I added a few wild cards)

And here is some evidence to the contrary, from real life no less!

My mother held two jobs. One full time at a specialized medical facility, but also a part time job at a pet store. So by AOC's statement she was helping keep unemployment down. When in reality, she took that job at the pet store from someone else who didn't have a job at all. Wouldn't that make unemployment go up because that person now doesn't have a job?

You kinda lost me right here at the beginning lol; that's not what she's saying. Unless you're just phrasing her position in an odd way. The way I'm reading your sentence, it sounds like you believe AOC wants to keep unemployment low by giving Americans multiple jobs.

What she's really saying is "the unemployment numbers make the economy look better than it is, because those low numbers are built on multiple jobs being filled by one person".

Until we resolve this difference, I'm not going to look at the rest of your post - I want to make sure the logic holds up step by step.

Ok, now, it is a flawed argument because it shows that she doesn't understand how unemployment is tracked. She does see it as there are X jobs and Y people to fill them which in this case X>Y and we need to keep X low. But that's not how it's actually tracked. It's tracked by how many people are employed, or not looking for work as previously established. And she doesn't understand that.

I don't think you quite understand the conversation here.

"Jobs>People and we need to keep jobs low" is basically the equation you posted and I can't see how you arrived there as something she's saying. Nobody is saying anything like that.

Eh, it makes theoretical sense even if the numbers don't support it.

If there are X jobs and X people and everyone has one job, no unemployment. If the numbers are the same but everyone has two jobs due to not being able to live on one job's wage, there's 50% unemployment.

It's more complicated than that and the numbers don't support it, but it's not an inherently flawed argument.

i'm underachieving though. i would get really good at something, and then stop out of nowhere. i wanted to make cartoons when i grew up. i got incredibly good at art, then i stopped. i got incredibly good at sports, then i stopped. after that i got incredibly good at guitar and singing (was always good at singing though). stopped. i could at the very least be having fun doing art and music on a local level, but i just quit. i don't know why i do this.

As a pick up artist yes, no question. You'd be surprised the situations girls in relationships volunteer themselves to be put in. Guys just don't like to admit it. 4 examples that stand out in my mind of the top off my head

-met a girl who had a boyfriend for 8 years...slept with me within 20 minutes
-another girl with a boyfriend told me she tried to fuck him before going out to party and he couldn't get it up so she wanted me to fuck her
