You've still gotta prove you can do the job and you'll typically go through a technical interview so they can get an idea of where you skillset actually is, but... Combine all that with a lack of available PPE, people hoarding PPE to exacerbate the problem so much that even healthcare workers who need it more than anyone being unable to have enough supply. Texas, by comparison, doesn't really have any environments like that. Houston is a big international travel hub, but it's still nothing like NYC. --- |

I'd have to see if charging at home is worth it. My town got a charging station, but I'd have work the math out especially when it comes to maintenance. I want to start doing my own oil changes at home eventually which I only do twice a year. So besides other things like brake pads which I can learn to do myself it might be expensive with a Tesla. Another thing with Teslas is that 1-pedal driving is a thing. The car has 3 options for when your foot is off the gas:
I'm not saying "go out and buy a Tesla" or anything like that. There's a lot that goes into buying a car in general, especially one that's this expensive, but... Just trying to explain stuff. --- |

A new one is 6 figures and based on my minimum driving I'm not sure if there's a huge saving by charging and putting in gas. Maybe in another 10-15 years we'll have cars like that at an affordable price. Right now I drop about $40(CDN) a month on gas and most times my company pays for it. One thing I quickly realized after I got mine is that a big reason why I didn't drive as much as I would like was because it meant I had to pay more for gas. Fortunately, I got free supercharging with mine, so I never have to pay to charge it if I use a supercharger. I recently got a garage at my apartment complex, so I'm trying to test out how much my electricity bill is going to go up if I charge my car that way. It's way more convenient to just charge it at home even if it does charge much more slowly that way. --- |
