That's not what it requires at all.

In 2015, he might have thought that it was actually a great time for a woman to run, but that Hilary was the wrong woman. Once she refused, he reluctantly ran and noticed being an old white guy was actually really useful electorally. Since liberals cluster in particular urban areas in particular states -- places where liberals are wealthy and where they are educated, the kind of people Sanders thinks will vote for any democrat -- the popular vote total matters less than the swing states in places like Ohio where people are more sexist and/or less willing to vote for a woman.

You don't have to assume he had some fundamental change of beliefs, he just went from running small campaigns in a tiny, homogeneous liberal state to having to talk to a lot of different voters and learned something

Depends on if you want a real job or if you want to waste a few years of your life barely making ends meet on some nowhere English teaching job. If you want a real job you better get fluent or at least pass the JLPT N1 (not that hard really) and/or have an advanced degree in a relevant field. Japan has a labor shortage yes, but most of it is low level labor. You don't want to work at 7-11 or a farm field.

what happens is whites move into inner-ring suburbs, stay there for a generation, and then when black people manage to overcome enough generational inequities to move to the inner-ring suburbs, whites move even farther out into the exurbs

but it's not that poor whites are moving, those are affluent white people. durable white poverty in cities just doesn't exist the way durable urban poverty exists for blacks (or durable rural poverty for whites). that's entirely because poor whites can move into affluent white spaces and take advantage of the public resources and amenities in a way black people of any income cant

Most cities have more affluent and poor areas it just so happens that in the US in particular these tended to be strongly linked with the races of their inhabitants

this is a (harmful) oversimplification, though, because poor whites have an easier time living in affluent white neighborhoods than affluent blacks do

1. The system is too complicated. I tried following the instructions on the form my first couple of times and ended up owing a lot one year, getting a giant refund the next year, etc. This most recent time, I just took a stab at figuring it out logically, looked up my salary against the tax brackets, divided it by twentysomething and hoped for the best. We'll see how that works. Or maybe that was last time. Maybe I just did zero thinking maybe some is withheld automatically or something. I don't know I don't remember that was a long time ago.

2. Some people think they're Warren Buffet and if they pay zero taxes throughout the year and instead put that money in a saving account to accrue interest until April of the following year, they'll be more than like a dollar or two richer.
