everyone should definitely vote like their lives depend on it because some peoples lives do. anyone that has any empathy for the immigrants being treated like animals or cares about the poor or any other vulnerable group needs to vote. luckily the indication is that people are planning to vote for biden and in record numbers.

overconfidence is bad but a defeatist attitude is also bad. trump and moscow mitch are definitely primed to try every dirty trick in the book, luckily those tricks won't work nearly as well against biden and especially now that trump has an indefensible record.

the reade story never really gained any traction and she has now been thoroughly discredited to the point of irrelevance. also biden doesn't have 30+ years of the gop shitting on him with disinformation and is actually liked by the populace at large where clinton was hated. people that dont like biden or trump are saying they will vote for biden by 40(!) points. potential biden voters are more enthusiastic to vote for him than potential trump voters.

the election isn't decided yet and hasn't been won yet but the good guys are the big favorite here and the important thing is to keep going at trump with his record and failures. hunter biden or tara reade aren't things that the general populace cares about, but they definitely care about an ungodly number of their countrymen dying because of trumps incompetence and his destruction of the economy out of stupidity

Imminent threat is pretty subjective, though. Perhaps the aggressor does not see their actions as a threat but what if the defender does?

they could definitely view it differently but there is a legal threshold and some things clearly qualify as life threatening while others don't

There are always going to be different situations - what about if someone is throwing rocks at your car while you are in it and unable to move without hitting someone? I recall things like that happening, but I don't know how they turned out (I want to say the 'driver' was not charged in most cases, but I am not sure).

depends on the circumstances of the situation but if your life isn't in clear danger you don't have legal cover to use deadly force. if someone sets your lawnmower on fire and you are in your house and they don't approach you it isn't justifiable to use deadly force. same with a car or whatever other piece of property

it only applies to imminent danger to a person. if someone is throwing rocks at your car that isn't grounds for deadly force. if someone is burning down your house with you inside that is obviously a threat to your life. property damage alone has and will get someone charged with murder if they escalate to that point
