But we'll never ever even get to that point if we don't solve other problems first. We could also take those steps already. There's nothing inherently wrong with them, on the contrary. But they're not what's going to solve the "overpopulation" problems. Those will keep cropping up perhaps cyclically until we truly learn to deal with them. |

The Earth can only hold so many people who can still live reasonably comfortably, that's true, but we're far from that number. The problems that are blamed on "overpopulation" have more to do with learning how to live with ourselves and the environment than they do with there being too many of us. That's a simplistic, dumb cop-out. |
